What's wrong with halo
Yeah, the first game was a fucking masterpiece. I've only played the second and third games in multiplayer at my friend's house a couple of times, so I can't really comment on them.
What's wrong with halo
The community
The community
And that is the developers fault how? [editline]09:36PM[/editline] Also every game has a horrible part of the community It's like you're saying every single server you go to is going to be filled with little kids screaming their heads off when they die, when in actuality you only experience this as much as your experience this in other games. [editline]09:36PM[/editline] Most of the community based hating is based off of youtube videos.
And that is the developers fault how?
I never said it was. The game is a beautiful piece of development. Playing with close friends in halo 3 on custom games is one of the funnest things I have ever done in my years of gaming.
yeah match making is p shite

werd.
Reasoned debate. It's a beautiful thing. :>
I think everyone's getting a bit nit-picky because they're gamers and they think the OP is calling them whiney. I have seen it a few times OP, but not so much that it's really ever an issue. I see it more often with the mainstream, but that's because they like to bandwagon and mercilessly defend their games. But then again, if you're a "gamer", then you're not exactly in the mainstream.
What's wrong with halo
Now you're getting off-topic. I would answer in relation to the third game, but I don't feel the need. [editline]11:02PM[/editline]
yeah match making is p shite
Oh wait you answered your own question.

[editline]11:02PM[/editline] Oh wait you answered your own question.
And so match-making makes a game? It's not as if I won't admit any flaws it's just that you're saying the whole game is flawed.
Yes, but there's a big difference between Valve and Activision. Both wants money, one supports the consumers. Valve.
While 1 gives us A++ games with updates and bug fixes, the other basically forces unwanted shit and downgrades otherwise good games, while making it appealing for everyone with 1/4 of a mind.
Urgh. The injustice isn't in games being bad, it's situations like the one with MW2 with the PC gaming community being completely undermined for commercial purposes.
The PC gaming community is being undermined because the Console community spends more money buying more games.
Because if I'm going to spend alot of time playing a game I'm going to find faults in it. It's not like I'm obligated to play a game either. So if I want something fixed or changed I should voice it and not just put up with as if I had to.
Everyone has more fun finding faults in games and picking every nit that can possibly be picked rather than just playing. What happen to the good old days where games were meant to be played not judged.
Going by your logic, no game should ever be criticized. Also, not everyone whines about games. By making a general statement like that you make yourself look like a moron, who thinks he's just discovered some unspoken secret. In my experience, here is what hakes up the majority of complainers: A): People who consider themselves 'hardcore fans'- people who have played the game so much that they think they know how to design the game better than the developers do. B): People who use the excuse "I paid good money for this! It should be perfect!". There is no reasoning with them. They do this with everything, as previously mentioned by several people- they have an entitlement complex. C): People who have legitimate reasons, and/or feel their favorite title is being threatened by the influence of the previous two groups. You can't call someone whiny or nitpicky if they have legitimate reasons for doing so. For example I think Far Cry 2 is a shitty, terrible vomit inducing abomination of a game. I nitpick the fuck out of it. Why? Because it isn't enjoyable. I have legitimate reasons for not liking it. I could write an entire book about how bad this game was, listing all the reasons. Another reason why people are becoming more 'nit picky' is because as gaming culture expands, it attracts a larger audience, and mod tools for games are also becoming more readily available. This means gamers feel more of a connection to both the developers and their work, than previously. Some may even want to become developers themselves. In this regard, nit picking isn't necessarily bad, and it promotes a greater degree of creativity and originality within an industry that already suffers from enough repeats and rehashes already.
