I thought the spartan/elite; spartan/spartan assassinations were badass, then I saw 1:07. Hawt elite/elite action :buddy:
Looks really good.
God damn, I really hope this gets ported to PC or something, I could probably even put up with the noncentred crosshair. Yes Halo's fuckin' medeocre, but there's just something about it. It's such a polished online experience. Play with people who aren't fucking faggots and it's a lot of fun, although this generally requires not being on the xbox, which is why I long for a PC port.

I can just actually have a blast because we can just brag/joke/have fun whilst beating the crap out of the noobies :v: Playing alone sucks though, I always get my ass handed to me and I almost broke my controller numerous times.
This looks awesome, can't wait for the beta.
Looks cool, but I don't have a xbox and I never will. But if this is coming to PC, oh man.
I haven't seen anything I don't like yet. The armor abilities, loadouts, invasion, and headhunter look like a bunch of fun. On the technical side they've even added some recoil so you can't just constantly hammer on the trigger. New animations and assassinations look awesome as well.
Wish they'd release on the PC.

Preferably when they least expect it. :v:
Looks great.
As I said in that other thread, Matchmaking is shit. Custom games is the shit.
So my opinion on fun is wrong? Thanks for your valid argument. I have surely lost this debate. Again, you have made the great mistake of thinking you know exactly who I am and what I do with my spare time. I have fun on games I like - games that require thought. I like to play Empire: Total War and slow, thinking games like that. But I also like to play well-balanced, fast-paced multiplayer shooters that require some element of skill like Day of Defeat: Source and Team Fortress 2. Note the emphasis on "balanced" and "skill". I don't enjoy Halo multiplayer for a lack of those two particular elements. In my opinion some of the weapons are very poorly balanced and the game is simply a matter of "I saw you first, I shoot you, you die. A guy comes up behind me and kills me because he saw me first. I respawn. Repeat." It is a game in which the enjoyment of the player, in my opinion, is directly relative to the amount he can irritate other players. There is a distinct lack of any thought process or teamwork in the gameplay and therefore, for me, a distinct lack of "fun" in playing it. Another well thought out argument from the Halo community that is doing itself no favours in shaking the stereotype that they are all butt-hurt fanboys the moment mentions something negative about their favourite game.
so uh you'd blame the developers for what the community does also team fortress 2 doesn't require any thought either. shoot, kill, place sentry, or heal. not that I don't enjoy that(I enjoy both halo and tf2) that i saw you first shoot kill, i saw you first kill you from behind thing p much relates to spies and snipers and pretty much any other fps there is. day of defeat:source is shite(I have no idea why you think this requires skill mang, it's a regular shooter that follows shooter procedures) empire total war is a rts
i play halo with my friends and we do nothing but insult each other during it, its light hearted fun, we don't think we're "pro" and we're not 12. TF2 Does require thought, and its a great game, but Halo is so much more fun when your with friends. but sometimes you want a less intense serious experience, and just have fun. Anyway looks pretty sweet I would say.
I gonna miss that there battle rifle. Godspeed, BR. Godspeed.
Halo was unbelivable back when it debuted. It has a soft spot in my heart and feels like it was a part of my childhood like pokemon. Some people get real butthurt over Halo and I have no idea why. Like I really don't know. No one really gives valid arguments like they do when they argue about Call of Duty. Well, I guess it's hard to make a case about halo seeing how a new one in the series hasn't come out in a while and the old ones look lame to today's standards but they were impressive at the time. And yes, custom games are the shit. Playing zombies in Halo 2 on Foundation was great. :buddy: The arena and division system seems real cool.
I am really liking the direction where Reach is going. Invasion is probably going to be my new favorite game type. The others look like a great change of pace from the normal slayer and objective type stuff. Can't wait until May 3rd to play the beta.
Probably the worst opening to a trailer ever. They just list all the stuff that makes Halo multiplayer shit. This trailer must have been made for 12 year olds who think swearing is funny and trashtalking makes you pro.
:bandwagon: You are an asshat.
:bandwagon: You are an asshat.
I disliked Halo before I had ever even been on an internet forum or knew there was a bandwagon in existence. That was a lovely attempt to dispel any of my arguments as irrelevant because I'm following a crowd, but sadly for you it has proved fruitless. [editline]08:18AM[/editline]
also team fortress 2 doesn't require any thought either. shoot, kill, place sentry, or heal. not that I don't enjoy that(I enjoy both halo and tf2)
Even simple tasks like placing a sentry requires more thought than bunny hopping and mashing the melee button.
day of defeat:source is shite(I have no idea why you think this requires skill mang, it's a regular shooter that follows shooter procedures)
It requires a small element of teamwork and managing the weapons requires a certain skill because of the ridiculous recoil. It's a lot more difficult than sprinting towards someone, holding down fire and then pressing the melee button when the magazine runs down... which is essentially the entire Halo multiplayer experience.
empire total war is a rts
Cheers, Sherlock.

this thread is horrible, I think 90% of the posts are just arguments back and forth. Personally I'm really excited and I'm glad to see all the new steps they are taking to making Halo Reach the next "big" Halo game. I hope I can call it "Halo 4" and not just another ODST.
Let me ask you a question, if you hate Halo so much as to keep arguing about the multiplayer, why go into a thread about it in the first place?
Gotta do something to keep myself entertained. In all fairness I just wanted to view the trailer.
