Given the chance I always choose Nightelf. I like PVP and I like fishing so I just stand in locations and "fish". (Only in world pvp, not in BG's as not helping objectives is dumb)

I've tried Rouge/Priest. Didn't work out right.
Hunter/Druid, or Hunter/Shaman seems to work the best for me.
Remember kids gnome rouges are hard to click on.
