kay, i played the updated version, its JUST like the regular Fire red, except the changes are subtle.
Changes I saw:
-Flash caves dont need flash anymore
-Mt moon circumvented.
-Some pokemon appearances.
-The shortcut near diglett cave.
Oh, and Pokemon further than Gen I dont evolve when they reach their level.
Yes, that includes larvitar.

@windwakr: What's there to stop people from just downloading the ROM if they want to play this? Besides, would that not make it impossible for some regions to use it? I mean, if tanth is using American as a base, would it not make it not work for EU versions?

Well, I'm not sure what I should change. I might end up doing dumb shit like adding grass in the Pallet Town, with a level 100 something or other that would destroy you if you just started the game.
