Only took them a hour twenty for the server issue and twenty for the scripting error.
Is there a power set that makes it so that you can be made up of pure energy or something?
Quoting because of stupid last post on the page.
Quoting because of stupid last post on the page.
Theres only force and electricity kinda like that. Force is about knockback and electricity is about damage that can chain from one enemy to another.
Do either of them have super awesome looking aura type effects on any of their abilities that make you look like you are made up of light, or energy?
I do believe there's an electric form that was shown in one of the trailers.
Also there some auras in sorcery and supernatural powers.
Meh, it is too late now, I already went with force... D= Oh well.. [editline]12:51PM[/editline] You know what? Fuck it. We aren't going to be able to keep these character anyway, so I guess I will just make a new one..
I just got home from school, and I can't even log in. The launcher keeps doing this "Cryptic Launcher Autoupdate" thing, which seems to be freezing. Also, this is the second-to-last test? God damn it. My guy is fucking level 21. I'm not going to enjoy remaking him just so he can be wiped again in a couple of months. Oh well.
This character wipe shows that only endgame right now is kill 5000 monsters for a costume piece. If you dont know what im talking about, look up perks quartermasters.
This character wipe shows that only endgame right now is kill 5000 monsters for a costume piece. The launcher is working now, but I don't even want to play. What's the point? My characters are just going to get wiped anyways. I just can't picture Champions Online having a good release at all. With the endgame nonexistent and everything before that generally boring, it's going to be rough. It needs more area. And I feel like, as far as quests go, Millennium City isn't good. I was able to power through all the 12-20 ish quests in one or two days, and I go at a pretty slow pace. I applaud them for trying to get away from staying in the city, but I don't want to have to go to incredibly boring places to level up. The city just feels, looks, and plays a lot better. Being a city, it's a natural hub for players of all levels, and as far as area is concerned it's pretty large. Despite the occasional (but still all too frequent) broken mission, or those half-finished missions where your goal is unspecified, it's a great place to level up until 20 or so. Then content stops. Then it picks up again about level 30 I think. That's a pretty large gap, which I think they need to bridge.
How could it be boring, they have Kigatilik!
Every square inch of the Desert looks the exact same. Same with the Canadian Wilderness. I want some diversity in the mobs and the enviroment. All basic gang members use guns, which although it makes sense, turns into boring gameplay.
This game will probably get 3+ rating.
4 days, 9 hours, 8 minutes till the 17th

I was sick of the trolls and radiation bullshit in CoX and then they redo it here... Then there's canada, wow that place is terrible. City quests were alright, was still some around level 26 to do there and not many were broke... Although I did enjoy the eastern side of the desert where the prison was, a crap load of quests in a small confined area and no fucking radiation. Not gonna bother with open beta or retail because I don't see where or what I would be doing at max level apart from farming perk items which you probably won't wear. Nemesis is kinda bullshit too, you create it at 25, do an instance to fight it and then after that you get attacked randomly by the minions of the nemesis but you don't fight it as much as I was expecting which is ashame. I got to 28 in uhm what 3-4 days? maybe level cap in a good week or two if there is a good amount of quests to do but that seems terribly quick and it feels like they are going to rely on peoples alt addiction or some shit idk. Although the game was made twice as entertaining talking bullshit with you sonic devices :pcgaming: Again being so close to release I'm amazed how many useless and broke skills there is. I tried munitions.. how many skills did I use? 3.. yes 3.. the energy builder, shotgun and lock and load. They are the most useful and practical skills you can possibly use. shot gun a nice ranged cone damge and uses next to fuck all energy and combined with a skill to make skills use even less energy then yay more shotgun spam to do. at any level the shotgun could easily blast through shit to level me up, along with regeneration you will hardly ever find anything that could be a challenge apart from the obvious group instances and legendary mobs. It turned even more of a laughable game when I discovered sonic devices :pcgaming: combine this shit with shotgun and I was 1 hitting henchmen at my own level and near enough doing 1/3 damage to villains, and sonic devices is able to be upgraded to an AOE. One thing I admit though. It was fun while I played it but I just don't see the lasting appeal. Some of the quests were a change from the usual too. I actually had to read the descriptions sometimes for once.. wow the last time I ever needed to do that was when I played LOTRO.

Otherwise my munitions guy would have been my main character. Champions Online was, unfortunately and unsurprisingly, a letdown. One less MMO to get excited for... :c
for you
yeah who is this dutch faggot, it's only him and some other credible sources who state mostly facts about the game fuck him
for you
no really, champions is a huge let down the endgame is awful and the game itself is too easy (level 1 to 24 in two days, wtf)
Well, I'm enjoying it. Made it to level 20. I'll probably get the 6-month subscription. It'll be like buying a Xbox 360 game, I'll be able to play it for as long as I think it'll last, and I'll have access to the Star Trek Online beta. That'll be a timekiller unless APB or The Old Republic comes out/goes into beta.

I agree. I'm liking it, though I'm leveling slow.

All the people that are bashing on the game and whining about the "easiness" or the "lack of end game" arent even trying to enjoy the game. They just want to be the first to the top and be the elitist of the group because it gives them some kind of power rush when in reality it doesnt even matter because its just a game and games are meant to be played for fun. just my two cents....
I like it, But I feel like I'm Playing a trial,in that It really feels like there hiding areas and such from us. Hopefully when the realse comes they pull a huge curtain off all the other areas and raiding. Also A Wipe While changing betas? Really Cryptic?. I guess Im glad I got in to the Beta so I can realize I dont really want this, and I guess it will be better with all my friends in the open beta, but still not the same. The newest update really fixed parts, But really I think that

Some quests give too much XP for simple tasks (find 5 things and bring them here for 12k XP) and some were made too easy because my dark character was buffed really well and he basically annihilated everything (he can one hit basically any henchmen his level and I can kill entire mobs in a few seconds with my AOE move) so quests where I had to kill a ton of enemies were very easy ([sp] for example, the quest where you go to the news station and fight foxbat took me 5 minutes, my AOE killed him in no time at all[/sp]). Certain quests are also made easier based on which travel power you pick. Someone with acrobatics or super speed might have trouble getting around. Meanwhile, teleport and super jump always got me where I needed to go in a few seconds. I don't know if it was because the dark powerset is OP or what but the game was too easy for me, I don't know what else to say. The fact that you can get 6 levels just by doing all the quests in the tutorial doesn't help, the quests give too much XP for their simplicity, and quests that should give out more XP don't. I'm not the only one who thinks so; and if I can do all of this in two days (mind you, I'm not an avid MMO player, this is probably my second MMO ever) then I can hardly believe anyone else will have trouble doing so when the game is actually out. Leveling so quickly wouldn't be a problem if the endgame was worth it at all, but so far all you can do is kill a bunch of enemies for costume pieces which don't do anything and play PVP all day.
Just went 13-0 in arena, then the server shut down.

I must be missing something...
