I just think it's dark that's OP. My Dark Blast does 1.4k damage fully charged and my AOE attack does 400-500/sec AND it pulls enemies toward it.
Basically, whenever I get to a boss (and I'm soloing, using this move in a group is about the lamest thing you can do) I spam my energy builder, and use my AOE on whoever it is. It won't pull the higher level villains (they'll actually run from it) but if I do it just right I can down them in a few seconds. If they do manage to hit me, my constitution is so high it doesn't even matter. I have a regen attack and a drain attack too, so I can heal whenever too much damage gets done to me. Finally, if I'm in a really tight fucking spot (which is usually never) I can just teleport out, because teleporting isn't slowed by combat. I'll have to wait 15 seconds to use it again, but 5 seconds is enough to get away from any fight.
Basically, the dark power set is the tank class. If you want to dominate by yourself, use it. If you buff him right and pick the right talents, he'll be unstoppable. But dark is so cheap in a group, don't even try it. No one will enjoy playing with you.

Cancelled my pre-order because leveling was too easy, mobs were too easy, everything seems quite unbalanced (tipped towards regen / invuln) and there's no endgame in sight.
Yeah, it's a beta. But when the game is coming out in half a month that's not much of an excuse.

I'm trying not to play the beta to much, if there's no end-game I at least want to get £60 worth (Cost of the game + 6 month subscription that I brought yesterday. I really wish there was a way for me to retract that purchase tbh.)

Who cares if it's the beta? The release is a fucking month away, the game should be done right now and half the content is missing. There is "no other crap to do" and PVP with no endgame content isn't any fun.

anyways, with the game LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY, and it only taking A WEEK TOPS to hit level 40 (IE THE MAX) If there's no endgame, there will be no players.
Also, what? What other MMOs are you talking about? Even AGE OF CONAN had more endgame content on release than this game.
I call into account Aion, Aion was released with no end-game content but PvP in China and it did incredibly well. We just have to hope that Cryptic will update the game with some more end-game (which I'm sure they will.)
MMOs evolve over time, they are never truly perfect.

I'm pretty sure in Aion it takes longer than ~1 week to hit max level, and actually has good PvP.
If it takes you 1 week to reach the level cap, you're playing it way to much.

It's one of the easiest MMOs i've ever played when it comes to leveling.

I made 10 different characters, made a TMNT clan, made several ninja turtles, and even TF2 classes. I very much enjoyed myself. And in all that, when I wasn't messing around, I leveled for a few hours on one of my characters and by the end of the weekend he was at level 27.
The thing is, I don't see much in this game except for having fun making some characters and messing with the powers, which will get old quickly. That's what happened with spore.
PvP isn't that great, few gamemodes and anyone with invuln or regen will win hands down.
Raiding.. well, not really needed. You can just get invuln and take on 5 guys that are higher level than you and win.
And the game isn't that big, so exploring wouldn't take very long to explore everything (Which I did in all the places that you could in the beta)

I played like 3 characters in the weekend Beta, none of them got past 10 and I was playing them quite a lot.

Then either what you're saying is bullshit, or you need to learn how to play. It takes all of 30 minutes to get out of the starter area and already at level 6, and another 30 to get passed 10.

If over 3 days, you played "alot" on only 3 characters, and weren't able to get a single on of them out of level 10, I think it's safe to say you can't say shit about what endgame there is. Or even how the game will turn out. 80% of your time spent on your 3 characters was in the millenium city tutorial. How the HELL are you supposed to actually know the game if you haven't experienced any of it?

Actually, I limited myself to level 10 because I didn't want to ruin the game for myself at retail. I spent my time exploring and playing with every single aspect of the character creator. It took me 20 minutes to blow through the tutorial, the rest of the time I spent in PvP and exploring.
And I am not "blindly defending the game", I know that if Cryptic don't pull their act together the game will be one huge fuckup. You can bitch and moan about the lack of end game all you want but at the end of the day, you do not have to play it if you don't enjoy it. In any case, how do you know Cryptic just haven't implemented end-game instances yet?
I shouldn't need to remind you that the game is still in Beta and, while release may be very close, it could be that they are saving the end-game instances to be implemented on release day (or near to it.)

Maybe leveling is quick in the closed beta so that they can test the later game stuff more quickly rather than having to wait for the actual level speeds?

Wait, so you DIDN'T experience the game so that you could waste money on it and buy the retail version.
What? You had a chance to experience all 40 levels, and 3 large areas, and most of the game to see if it was worth it. But you didn't, because you want to spend $50 on a game that there is a very good chance you won't play for more than a month or two.

If cryptic haven't put in the endgame instances yet, then they're going to have NO chance of them actually working in the final release. Less than a month away and they haven't even tested end game yet? Yeah, that's believable. No company is that stupid. If you've ever beta tested ANY MMOs before, you'd know that they test endgame more than anything.

You CLEARLY said yourself "I haven't played passed level 10"
Tutorial takes you up to level 6 or 7, if I remember correctly. If you've gotten to level 9, you're only 2 levels outside of the tutorial. What the fuck are you going to experience 2 levels outside of a tutorial? Nothing.

I have a level 30 toon, I think I have the best idea of how endgame is here. And which yes, they do have a endgame, but its not enough. Unless they plan on adding a new instance every 2 weeks or month the endgame is going to suck. All that will be available to do is PVP or do a lair that will become boring after the twentieth time. There are also some bosses that are cosmic to fight, but only like one for each major zone. What they should do is every week add a new Cosmic or stronger boss perhaps for players to group up and fight. That would keep me interested.
I soloed pretty much everything with flight and regen.
This game doesent give any challenges, 3 man quest bosses - no problem.
^^^ Agreed. I took down 2 bosses in a 2 man mission when I was level 14 and they were both 15! The defence is overpowered!
