you should consider it, im in beta and its actually surprisingly fun. also, no worry about your costume being deleted, when u create ur character theres a little save button you can save and it saves a screenshot of your character with your costume encoded within it and when it goes live, you can just hit load and then click the screenshot and you character will be there as you made him. the levels and everything else will be wiped obviously though, but you wont lose your costume if you do this. on a casual scale, this game takes the cake. i find it fun and not a huge grindfest for gear like most mmo's. i'm probably going to buy it because i can just log in and play whenever i want and not have to worry about raiding endlessly and getting into a huge guild like in WoW for instance. all in all, the game is great. check out some of the characters i made:

Like one for idle, one for combat, one for flying, etc?

No.
Well you could, but you would have to change costume each time. You CAN however have costumes automatically change for each fighting style, like, offense, defense, balanced, and support.
