Really? The Battle Toads SUCKED to fight. They'd hit hard, root you, and even follow you into the air if you escape that way. Are they pathetically easy now?

I just bought this, I had no idea it was out and then I saw it and immediately bought it. I love not getting hyped for things,it leaves me either pleasantly surprised or at least not disappointed.
My client is stable now (touch wood). Just enjoyed a few hours of PvP with clan mates on teamspeak :biggrin:
Goddamn game doesn't run for shit. It takes five minutes of standing entirely still for the fucking game to load terrain and scenery for a 200 fucking square foot area. I've spent more time waiting for the game to load areas than I have playing the game.
Why the fuck doesn't this shit get loaded at the loading screen?

Well areas load within a second for me, maybe your connection or the server was being shit?
My character is Defendotron, I would try out different hero types but I didn't like the forced tutorial much.

There's no rubberbanding and no lag, and characters move smoothly if you don't count their legs and torsos being invisible.

Play non-stop and do as many quests as you can

Anyone posting about the game is either in the USA or in the head-start program. There's only really one "server" so you can play with everyone.
One of the worst points about this game is the customer service.
I pre-ordered from D2D, when D2D were advertising the Head Start. Turned out that D2D didn't have head start. Cryptic's reply to a lot of angry people was "sorry".
Moving forwards a bit, there is an issue where the servers can be down, but server status is reported as up. Technical Support pages haven't been set up yet. And there is an issue where people can't log in. The thread in the support forum hasn't had any crypic people in it to even acknowledge that there is a problem.
Not to mention that half the buttons don't visually depress, so you are never sure if you clicked something, and the amount of lag that can build up can be horrendous. Today i had to log out because although i could move, and the monsters could attack me, i couldn't do a thing.
I know that early on there will be a few problems, but when the open beta messed up for WAR, everyone got a free week and an official letter from the CEO of mythic was posted on the website. They had tech support up and running before beta as well. You would have thought that with CoH, cryptic had learnt how to set up an MMO.

What? I wasn't in the head start and I live in Australia, and I brought the game on steam 1st September and it works fine, I've been playing with my brother with almost no lag whatsoever.
Also, I yesterday played Champs with an Xbox controller on the PC,

The game was released in the UK on Steam on the 1st September too, I think it was everywhere, maybe not mainland Europe.

Though my connection is fine, it sometimes spazzes with lag, even without downloading or seeding anything
Is it just me or are the servers acting up? First I lost connection during a loading screen, which seems to freeze it. Then it wouldn't update the launcher, and now the launcher stays on 'Loading Please Wait' with a white screen.
