is anyone who's whining incessantly about sony's conference an owner of a ps3? I am fucking PUMPED after seeing The Last of Us footage, Far Cry 3 footage, the Beyond trailer, Watch Dogs footage, Star Wars 1313 footage, God of War footage and I'm sure Allstars will be at the very least fun to play. SSB 64 is my favorite game of all time, and I'm glad Sony is making a game that's similar to it. It will be fun. Get over yourselves, holy fuck

I'm sure it will. As I said before, I can't wait to smash every last smirk out of Nathan Drake with a comically oversized drill.
While the whole "All-Star Battle" thing is a good idea, Nintendo does it so well only because they have so many different franchises to actually pick characters from.
I don't blame Sony for trying to cash in on the buzz that SSB has caused... But they really don't have the characters to make it work. We will just have to wait and see, I guess.
I'm still looking forward to it, though.
Far Cry 3 looks god awful.
Last of Us looks incredible but I don't own a PS3.
We got like two minutes of 1313 footage so meh.
Watch Dogs could turn into GTA with gimmicks or could be fucking mindblowing. Not close enough to release.
God of War is god of war. You get what you pay for.
All Stars won't be bad but I just don't see it as Sony's SSB. It just won't be as successful.

I'm pumped as hell too. Doesn't change the fact that I was very annoyed during some segments of the presentations (Splinter Cell looks awful, everything to do with Kinect/Xbox integration, Wonderbook).

but honestly a controller is better at that too

motion controls are fucking useless right now. No matter what they do, a Controller will ALWAYS work better. Controllers are more responsive, controllers just feel right. I was raised on playing with something in my hands, nothing at all is foreign and unwelcome.
I loved the look of The Last of Us. They put so much effort into the realism, it was amazing. You could see the blood dribble down Joel's cheek when he got butted with the gun and tackled.

So are games becoming more and more like interactive and dynamic T.V series and movies? Looks like it at times.
Not so sure that this is a good thing. Perhaps it is, but it will be ugly as all hell for the next few years untill we figure out how to do it right.
