Alright, it's official. The Last of Us made me buy a PS3.
Getting it from a friend for only $100, and it's in good condition. He's throwing in Resistance 1 and 2 as well, for some extra money.
Also getting Journey, once I set up PSN. Probably Uncharted, too.

I disagree with him as well, but it is pretty similar to SSB in terms of fighting style and overall concept.
I'm a huge SSB fan but I think other companies are allowed to do their own thing when they want to take a bunch of different franchises and throw them into one fighting game. The main thing that makes PSAS like SSB is the fact it's a fighting game with a lot of mobility in it. You can jump all over the place and stretch the screen out insanely by being on different sizes of the level, where your normal fighting game like Street Fighter doesn't let you go much as 10 feet away from each other.

Is anyone else really excited for God of War: Ascension, as well? People keep saying that it's so similar to God of War 3 but I don't think it will be. First of all, what people have been neglecting to notice is the HUGE graphical improvement. The detail is amazing.
Also, it appears as if Kratos is diving into Egyptian mythos, which, if true, would be fucking incredible. I would LOVE to see Egyptian mythology come to life in the style of Sony Santa Monica. Fighting Osiris or Horace would be suuuper cool. Then again, I'm not sure how the game would account for multiple universes/religions coming to life.
Could just be that it's still Greek, though they've almost exhausted Greek mythology...given that Kratos killed pretty much every major god.

1. 3DS is awesome. Don't knock it 'till you try it.
2. While I would have liked much more info, the WiiU still looks quite promising, especially in games like Aliens and Batman where the tablet comes into play in a non-gimmicky way (and rather focuses on convenience).
3. There's still several days of E3 left.
4. The thread is quiet because the big reveal period is over and it's getting late. It'll pick up tomorrow.

Not to my knowledge. The only Zelda-related Wii U thing was a tech demo last year.

The Wii U supports external hard drives. That's the kicker. That means Nintendo will likely be focusing more on the downloadable titles this time, and maybe installing games to hard drives for quick loading.
