Alright, so I guess I've been living in the dark when it's come to Dishonored but hot damn that trailer looked good!
Getting huge Thief/Bioshock/ vibes from it.
Expecting Nintendo to completely steal the show again

They did two years ago, but last year a bit of a bust, to say the least.
Expecting Nintendo to completely steal the show again
Last year was pretty embarrassing for them. Every time they announced something no one clapped.

That, and how they (along with seemingly everyone else) were one step away from sucking their own dicks right there on the stage. Reggie, I love you man, but don't even try to call the [del]Weewooo[/del] Wii-U "Utopian".
They really should have waited until they had something substantial to show for it, because most people at that conference probably weren't too fond of them after the Wii failed to deliver on many, many levels. Just showing some tech demo of a non-descript Zelda fight as well as a generic fly-by of scenery that could have easily been rendered by other consoles years ago is not enough to impress people.
And naming their console something that isn't retarded probably would have helped.

One of the guys from Thief is working on it. Art style and the whole "magic hand" gameplay element meets cyber-steampunk era is incredibly reminiscent of Bioshock; but more Bioshock isn't bad. If they can make it good, it'll definitely be an amazing game.
Oh crap, I was meaning to post and run this thread (had a nice OP mostly finished) but actually posting it slipped my mind. Feel free to add in bits. I was going to try and get loads of stuff linked in the OP so everyone can enjoy everything without sifting through 100's of posts.

I don't really get this. It seems to be quite a popular opinion, but I could not care less about Nintendo's games. It's weird. I've tried tons of Zeldas, Marios and such and never got into them. I just don't get what's so good about, say, SM Galaxy.
I'm not going to even list what games I'd love to see this year since they are not going to happen.
Microsoft last year was sad.
Kinect this, Kinect that. I'm sick of it.
Hopefully they announce GOOD games that use the good ol' CONTROLLER this E3.
Prepare to be disappointed then. Chances are their conference is this:
Kinect
Halo 4
Kinect
GoW
Kinect
New "features" like Skype, and maybe Internet Explorer, all their new features will require XBL gold
and more Kinect.
I understand the fact that MS invested a shitload on it, and the people like it(mostly kids and families), but there is a limit on promoting it.
Each 3 has a focus:
Sony: Vita, new exclusives(maybe)
Nintendo: 3DS, maybe SSB 3DS or WiiU, and WiiU
Microsoft: Kinect, GoW, Halo 4

My wallet will be dead after this year. Skyrim DLC, Borderlands 2, Darksiders II, Dishonored, Assassin's Creed III, Halo 4, Hitman: Absolution, Global Offensive and DotA (not a beta participant sadly), that Amnesia Sequel, and Lego City Stories (I'm a sucker for the LEGO games, sue me)

Oh wow, how did I forget Halo 4 :v:
I'd love to see some proper gameplay footage, it's gonna be fucking great.

you gotta keep in mind most of us were pretty young when we played our first zelda or mario game, I for one grew up with mario games and love the living shit out of them even now, I get excited about new ones... I just don't really buy them
the difference between nintendo games and other companies I find is that nintendo understands that games are well, games, but other companies are releasing games as these huge cinematic experiences, at times (like heavy rain) making them more movies than games. It's great because it really is more like interacting with a movie, where as nintendo games are still just plain fun most of the time, the problem with that is the older I get the more I feel like they're, well, for kids... making me less excited about them over all
I hope they announce Planetside 2 beta. From what I've seen, they are really close to being ready.
$10 says the first thing shown in the MS slot is Kinect. And another $10 says the last thing is Kinect.

Im thinking that will be shown half way through the Microsoft slot, of course it's going to feature little kids and something akward will be said.
I have a funny feeling Mr. Caffeine will come back, I dont know but, i kind of liked the dude a tiny little bit.
Halo 4 is pretty much the biggest thing Microsoft has at the moment, so it will probably be their main focus.
"Halo 4... Works better with Kinect."
Think that would be a nightmare come true. They cant be that stupid, right?
but it could be better with kinect, if they only utilized it for simple gesture things that could be accessed through menus anyway
like giving commands to attack or not move or something with one hand (though, I don't really know if that would even work with halo games as i've never really played them, just an example of how kinect could be used without being an annoying cunt)

I do tend to look for bigger-than-life stories in games, so that probably explains most of it. Mario games are an obvious case, and as far as I know, Zelda games' plots aren't anything ground-breaking either.

If it's something like ME3's voice commands, I don't care.
I doubt it's going to have anything to do with Kinect exactly because it's their biggest thing right now - no room for fuck-ups.
Just bought myself a Vita on Thursday. I'm very pleased with the system so far, but I'm looking forward to E3 this year because I'm hoping for some new top shelf games to be announced for it. I'll be watching for news on Sega, since they've already made a few quiet announcements recently like a Jet Grind Radio port to Vita as well as Phantasy Star Online 2 being free to play cross platform (so I can play it on my PC and then continue playing on the Vita when I'm out of the house.)
I wanna see Steel Battalion footage. I want to see the fist bump quick time event in action :v:
I'm dead fucking serious
I will be so pissed if Microsoft and Sony focus on motion controllers again. Nobody actually cares for any of it really. Also will be pissed if Vita is Sony's main thing for E3. I heard they have a big surprise in store so hopefully it will be something cool.
is there already a facepunch e3 2012 group or should i create one? Chat with you guys while watching the E3 is awesome.
Sony better make Planetside 2 a major part of its presentation.
I can't wait to hear the silence once Kane and Lynch 3 is announced.
Criterion have been confirmed to be working on the next Need for Speed: Most Wanted game

Yes. Oh my fucking god, yes, the day has come.
I hope this years E3 is just as hilarious and embarrassing for all parties involved as last year.

And yet even if E3 2012 is as bad as it was last year (I'll be surprised if it is) They will still they will keep their thumbs up their arses. If it wasnt that hard, they should have a seperate slot for just this motion control nonsense instead of letting it eat up the time on the main events.
Although that would require some common sense, now would it?

If Half-Life 3/Ep3 is announced:
Gabe Newell walks on stage, announces it.
Everyone in audience and people around the world die from heart attack caused by shock.
Gabe Newell is arrested for mass murder and Valve is shut down, Gabe becomes the head of a gang in jail.
