How does that work? Does it read the text to him or something?
How does that work? Does it read the text to him or something?
No, it reads the pixels to him. And with Space Station that shouldn't take too long.
Hellmoo. It's an ASCII game.
Oh, well technically my statement is still valid.
There's so much lag it could probably read him the entire screen before the next update.
Just spawned as syndicate traitor with the mission to protect the Captain from an assassin. I got my cloaking device, told the Captain, and proceeded to follow him while cloaked. We had barely made it to the courtroom (From the Captain's quarters), when the Detective saw me with his thermal goggles, cuffed me to a chair, stole my cloaking device, spaced it, and then shot down the HoS
I'm kinda disappointed in my first round as a traitor

You did well, firstly, you convinced the Captain YOU weren't out to kill him, secondly, you followed him well. But you should have somehow told the Captain to take all thermals away from other people (every good Captain goes round the station at full speed taking away the thermals and giving them only to a select few) or telling the Captain to warn the people with thermals of your presence.
I guess the Detective was only doing his job though, so meh. Why did he shoot the HoS? Was that the real assassin?
I've learned it is never a good idea to use Cloaks but to use the voice changer and just strip id's of off corpses, And to use the sleepy pen.
I've learned it is never a good idea to use Cloaks but to use the voice changer and just strip id's of off corpses, And to use the sleepy pen.
Couldn't agree more. Cloaks are crap, to be honest. Anyone with thermals will see you from a mile off, and you can't get it off in time to look normal. Only time cloak would be useful is if you had killed off all the thermal-wearers, then went on a killing spree.
One time I was cloaked, and I broke in through QM (syndi round) and set off a bomb at the entrance. Thinking that would distract everyone, I went round the back, through the maintenance tunnels. I came out and was heading up to turn right into the kitchen hall, when in front of me, there were like 9 people, and two were wearing thermals. Needless to say, I bolted it down the hall, but I got caught in the end. Fucking unlucky. They were so far away from the bomb, I thought it would have attracted them...
I know how to make metal foam, Awesome. Too bad I can't make lube.
Does having a jobban taken off take a while? Because I appealed it and I am still jobbanned from being a syndicate on Gibbed 4 and security positions on both 3 and 4.

I'm pretty sure it's permanent.
I've learned it is never a good idea to use Cloaks but to use the voice changer and just strip id's of off corpses, And to use the sleepy pen.
Well, it was my first round as traitor, so you could understand why some of those things went wrong. The cloak just sounded like the best choice
What would be a good loadout for my next round as a traitor? I assume voice changer would be a good choice, but what else?

You could get a detomatix cartridge for your PDA. You can detonate 4 PDAs with the messenger, so you can kill people with thermals. It's 3 telecrystals.
Or you could just have fun and instead of ordering anything else, just order 3 detomatix cartridges and blow 12 people up.

Voice Changer, Chameleon Suit (depending on if you want a quick way of changing jumpsuit colours, or if you would take the time looting jumpsuits from lockers [which is a hassle, cause you drop your pocket-slot items as well as your belt / id card slot items]).
A sleepy pen is a bad choice in my opinion, seeing as it DOES NOT work instantly. They have time to run around for a few seconds, or scream over the radio.
A syndicate bomb is usually a good choice if you wanna blow up genetics, or medbay in general. Make sure to hide it in a locker or backpack.
A powersink is pointless. Just get some insulated gloves and go ape-shit cutting wires on the solar arrays.
A cryptographic sequencer (or whatever the fuck it's called) is good, unless you plan on getting a high-ranking players ID card.
Whatever you do, don't buy stuff at the start of the round. You never know, you might end up being lucky. I've been the traitor as the HoR once, and my target was the HoP. I killed him within 2 seconds. Nothing pisses you off more than getting a cryptographic sequencer (that opens doors) only to bump into a retarded Captain / HoS / HoP and take their ID.
I'd say a voice changer is a must, though, if you plan on killing a few people to get to your target.
PS: A big no-no to the Detomax cartridge. Almost everyone throws their PDA's away, and as soon as the first person gets blown up, everyone starts shouting over the radio about it, saying a PDA bomber is going around. Also, the smart people turn their messaging off.
PPS: Always, when possible, carry a few spare jumpsuits around, or know where to get them. Nothing makes you seem less conspicuous than clean clothes. Also, always space your killed enemies, else you leave the risk of them being cloned and saying who you are.
PPPS: You don't have to go and kill your target straight away. Lay low for a while, see how stuff plays out, there are usually more than one traitor every round, maybe he'll kill enough people for you and cause a big enough distraction for you to sneak away and kill your guy. Never do it in a busy hallway, or a hallway at all. Try and finish em off swiftly, then drag them into a maintenance tunnel to finish the job. Nothing pisses me off more than killing someone in a hallway, or nearly killing them, only to have a security guard come charging at me to either revive him, or wake him up...
Woah Rathen, thanks for letting me explain what happened.
/sarcasm

I use the jump suit thing so often, I do my work in the garbage area, looting the trash and leaving the shit in space, usualy I get bloody when a security guard comes through and tries to kill me for looting his body when I figured he was dead, then proceed to loot his now dead corpse,
So I always carry a spare grey jump suit to keep the blood off.
Or when some idiot thinks I am a theif for stealing garbage, he goes away too.
or not

But Rathen said that he unbanned me, yet I haven't been unbanned from anything.
Actually you would be surprised about how many people keep their PDA's, I use detomax + Sleepy pen if I don't do the Voice changer plus Sleepy pen.
When I do the detomax combo I Go close to my target and exploded his PDA and then pen him and then drag him off, If I do voice changer I strip a id off of a corpse before hand run up to the guy, sleepy pen him run away change ids and is possible put on a fire suit, and then run back and choke him.
anyone know how to make bombs that blow up more than just one fucking tile, I had 95% pure plasma heated up to like 90,000 degrees (no shit) but all it did was blow up one measly tile. what the fuck.
also, how do you make tank valve bombs (like the ones the syndicates have). They seem to blow up much better than the conventional tank/detonator bombs.
I'm on 4. Can't see shit son
thanks for the premium guide
R.P. Masters overreacted cause I broke one glass and used a sleeping agent on me and then I was unconcious.
Detective is fun but daaannnggeerrrrouuussss. I was in a epic traitor vs security and me fight but then we couldn't tell who was who and the we were in EVA and some security accidentally pushed me into the icy bowels of space and then I died. But being detective is fun. I took ALOT of pictures.
I was a scientist.
I dragged two people to death using the flash in the mixing chamber with a buddy, then captain and HOS were ALL HOW DOEZ WE OPAN DIS ARELAK!?XD! And then plasma flooded and I was all, fuck that so I cut the green wire and ZAP they ignited in flames and the captain died, HOS made out out alive.
So in total I killed 3 people and survived my self, then ended up escaping the heat because they had cycled the airlock to the mixing chamber where I cut the grille and hid in an alcove in the station wall.
I suicided and took the people I killed's bodys with me.
They never found them.
was lorden shitty? I remember his server being there, but can't recall, he plays HellMOO now
When I'm the traitor and my objective is to kill someone, I just do nothing because 80% of the time they will die because of all the chaos.
True that. But it's always safe to ask the AI to tell you who's still alive. Just tell the AI "for a survey."
