Hours fly by in a matter of moments, it does more than kill time; it slaughters it and tracks down it's friends and family to do the same.
Imagine if this game was built on a 3D engine. System Shock 2 already has a space station feel to it:
Am I the only one who ever actualy writes cool logs about my experiments or patients at doctor, scientist, chemist, geneticist? Someone always finds them and wonders what happened as I leave log pages and clues to either my character or to a copy of the experiment. Once the end of the logs of riddles lead to a clipboard of my full experiment logs and a box with all the strains of the thing I made, a few caused mutations and some were extremely deadly, it's funny when they don't read the logs and just inject them self with random ones.
Don't count yourself out, I do that often too. Maybe not on paper but I state my experiments and conclusions. You should empty out boxes and use them to store your findings :fuckyou:
Hours fly by in a matter of moments, it does more than kill time; it slaughters it and tracks down it's friends and family to do the same.
care to explain what kind of view-perspective and objectives/things to do are in the game? videos and pics arent doing it for me
Is this game fun/ a good way to kill time? sounds pretty cool.
It's a good way to kill time if you have hours to kill. The average round can take from 45 minutes to 3 hours. [editline]12:54AM[/editline]
care to explain what kind of view-perspective and objectives/things to do are in the game? videos and pics arent doing it for me
The perspective is top-down, sort of. The objectives are mostly defined in the modes, which can be traitor, where a traitor is on the station sent to fuck it up, or wizard, where there's a space wizard on the station sent to fuck it up, or monkey, where there's a monkey virus made to fuck the station up. Most of the modes involve people fucking up the station, except extended mode, which is a mode with no mode. Almost every job you could have has a way to fuck shit up. As a janitor, you can wet the floors, make people slip, and then murder them. As a geneticist, you can give yourself super powers or turn people into abominations. As an engineer, you can cut wires that lead to important things. As an atmospheric technician, you can put deadly gasses in the air. There's a ton more jobs that I can't be assed to explain. However, don't fuck shit up unless you're a traitor or someone sent to fuck things up, or people will be pissed at you. If you aren't, then I would suggest you do your normal job, or else people will get really mad or if you fuck enough shit up, like make super-heated bombs and blow up huge portions of the station while you aren't a traitor or something, then you will get banned.
alright sounds awesome, ill start working on it on friday.

Man I just ran into robotics and told the roboticist to put my brain into the robot. As soon as he cut my brain out, he put it into the disposal unit and dumped it into space :(
I was on the dev server and made special walls in the brig cells, where I let everyone out of jail and then slowly killed anyone in my path, they were cuffed, interrogated, beaten, and placed in the incenerator where they met their final doom, cuffed and muzzled.
You sound like a dick in this game, Q8.
Damn it. Didn't write down monkeys. I'd spent 90% of my time in the monkey room playing around with them. Only guy I partially griefed was that one guy, but we made up in the end.
Once as a geneticist I created an army of mindless drone women out of the monkeys and dressed them up in medical gear. It confused the fuck out of the doctors in the medbay.
We just had like 20 people climb into the disposal unit and flush at the same time
im having extreme trouble in knowing what to do, i got movement and talking down but i have no idea what to do

My Wizard God religion has become unofficially official! I knew it was worth it to worship him yesterday. Or not. Fuck.
Chemical X FTW! Now If only I remembered how to make it.
Chemical X FTW! Now If only I remembered how to make it.
How do you go about making this Chemical X?
I mixed sleep chems with some other chems and injected the captains beer with it, he later passed out in the hallway where I quickly took him to the closest garbage chute where we were alone, stripped him down, healed his toxins, put on his stuff, and shot him to the incenerator, where I had him handcuffed to a chair and muzzled. He later was found but lucky for me the bomb I planted (proxemity) was armed and blew the rescure crew and him up, no one knew he was the real captain except the dead guys, one survived with major burns, I healed him and tied him up to a chair and interrogated him into giving me the name of the revolution leader who was going solo and trashed the flash, then I moved him to a coffin, welded it and placed it in the mass driver for a minute 30, with a armed proxemity bomb for 10 seconds, evidence would be eliminated either way with the timed bomb set to 2 minutes 30. After hunting down the revo leader, I captured him, put him under n20 and tied him to a chair in atmos where I set for plasma to leak at a rate of 1000 out into the room, and lit a welder by him, gave him internals and left. I also gave him the comfort of welding the airlock shut and leaving his head set on, set to the wrong frequency but still on, I laughed as my station bounce radio reported his screams as he yelled uselessly into the headset, "HELP HELP IN ATMOS! I AM GOING TO DIE!" Shortly after he did die a horribly slow death at the hands of a blaze. The station personell have won, but at what cost, I killed the captain, but no one knew that so I continued my captain status until the end of the round, only the AI and I heard the screams of the revo leader. I was later banned for 24 hours on that alt for "LUL U SO FUNNAH! KILLING A ADMIN!" It turns out, Douchbag P. Captain was an admin.
How do you go about making this Chemical X?
Chem lab, the thing about Chemical X is it is powerful but not lethal. Though you may as well be dead if you are blind, deaf, and diabetic.

He's not an idiot, I thought that was pretty cool. Better than randomly stunning the captain, dragging him into a room, and toolboxing him to death.
It's generally not a good idea to systematically murder the captain like that. You usually get banned. You're an idiot.
You gotta say that was epic, except the griefing part.
You gotta say that was epic, except the griefing part.
Yeah it's epic. If I was the captain at that moment, I'd be fucking pissed no matter how epic the ensuing moments played out.
I hope most of these griefers are gone by the time it's no longer in beta. Pretty much every round someone releases plasma in a hallway and drops a lit welding torch.
My favorite gamemode is meteor, shit gets pretty intense, i remember this time when we were waiting for the shuttle, and then this guy joined and was at the mob, we told him to wait because a meteor hit the exit and there was a leak, we sent one of us to rescue him, when they were coming at us a meteor hit the hall way, one of them got knocked out, the guy who joined had the oxygen tank in his hand knocked out too and lost grip of it, so i went running to them dragged them both, i had to act quickly as the guy who lost his oxygen tank was quickly gonna run out of air, so i gave him my oxygen tank and dragged them back to the Evac point, just as i fainted, i was fainted for the rest of the match and the two guys i saved survived, when the shuttle arrived they put me in one of the medical pods.
I injected someone with an Incomplete dose of Chemical X. He was deaf, blind, but was not diabetic because the sugar screwed with the concoction. He walked around for hours yelling "I CANT SEE OR HEAR, HELP ME!!" I laughed my ass off when he wandered into a plasma filled room. [editline]09:05PM[/editline] And died, I may add.
I've officially rage-quitted from Goonstation server. God damn it's loads of fun, but the admins are serious assholes. Only decent admin I've come across is Rathen, and maybe tinyturtelz or whatever his name is. This round I was HoS, and I was going around doing my job. I asked the Roboticist to report to my office straight away, so I could tell him to make a few securobots. In the previous round, I'd done this, and the Roboticist reported straight away, and it went great. I told him he could get whatever he wanted and I'd help him get the materials needed for it. Anyways, this round, the Roboticist is paranoid as fuck and barricades himself in his room. I keep telling him to let me in, because I want securobots made, but he ignores me. Fast forward about 10 minutes. I'm in medbay, near the top, trying to weld a hole in the wall to get into the guys office. Out of nowhere, a doctor comes and tries to steal my weapons. He also gets his janitor friend to spray stuff in my eyes. When I run out of there, I promise to go and arrest him. I go back with cuffs and stuff, and ask a security guard to accompany me to do the arrest. We get to the room, and there's a scuffle. The doctor already has my baton from earlier, which he stole, so he proceeds to fuck us up. My security guard pays no attention to me, when I tell him to arrest him, he says "I want to hear his side of the story" and I'm just speechless. The guy has assaulted me, and my subordinate is not obeying my commands. I was like "The fuck?" If I were in his shoes, I'd just obey. That's what you usually do. Turns out that both those assholes were admins. Domino was the doctor, and he always fucks shit up. I swear, if you're HoS or the Captain or anything with a decent gun, he'll go out of his way to find you, steal your shit, then cuff you and run away. If it were anyone else doing that, we'd get banned. Then when I go back to arrest him, he starts whining saying he didn't do anything. And I'm getting PM's from admins telling me to be a man and go and kill them, so I take their advice, but most of the admins are bitches.
I lost all of the head jobs and AI for some reason. I think it was because I was trying to space a shitter in the escape shuttle hallway, and apparently the shitter was an admin. I don't really think I deserved losing a significant amount of job choices just because of that.
Goons are taking the piss out of everything from what you're all saying. :|
They are. They gallivant about and do whatever the fuck they want. I mean, when Domino was a geneticist, he was knocking people out and fucking their genes up left, right and center. If it were anyone else, that would be bannable.
