Rathen, is it cool if I get unbanned? I was banned for the following:
- IC in OOC. This is unfair. The server bugged out and everyone froze, then some guy called Sethcool ended up dying. I posted in OOC if he had died, to make sure. Basically, the conversation went like this
Random Guy1 "Fuck, the servers bugged"
SethCool "Oh shit, if I don't move, I'm gonna die"
Random Guy 1 "Server restart!!111!11"
Fast forward a bit, we all started moving again. I post in OOC "Seth, did you end up dying?" and he said yeah. That was why I got banned.
- I was complaining to admins about these griefers who stormed my Roboticist office at the start of the round. No one replied to me. Some admin logs on and thinks I'm shouting at him.
So those two stupid bans result in a 1 day ban overall. God damn it.
That's called IC in OOC, you should have found out if he was alive in-game. It's in the rules. Your fault.
Second reason is pretty likely true from what I know of you in games. Ask once, if they don't reply they'll get to you eventually.

No, I was messaging some admin, but he wasn't getting back to me, and these guys were using all my metal, and being general asshats. They'd flashed me, then taken my ID card and shoved me in the disposal unit. I spent the rest of the match outside the door, until a Wizard came and owned me. So I needed help fast, else I'd just end up fucked.
Also, I guess it is IC in OOC in a way, but it was more a question of "Did that server bug get you killed eventually?" I don't know how I could have found out if he died by talking ingame, he probably wouldn't want to compromise his identity.
That's a dumb as all fuck ban. Sure, it's IC in OOC, but it's not malicious and it wasn't intended to give anyone away or cause any problems. Bullshit.

Yeah, about 6 of us died during that server bug, cause none of us could move. I got frozen on the conveyor belts and got jettisoned off into space, so I wanted to know if Seth died as well.
Meh. Rathen, you are a good admin. Do you have the power to tell the other guys to do their jobs? I swear if they did, you have more than 50 people in the server, you'd have up to 60 and 70. I love the Goon server, I just wish the admins pulled their socks up and did their part. It'd make everyone enjoy the game a lot more.
Also, how do I find my key? My ban ends in 2.3 hours, but I've got an exam I gotta study for, for tomorrow, so it would be awesome if I could have a quick game.

It's whatever you log into the byond pager for. if you copy/paste your ban reason exactly, I should be able to do it from that. There's really nothing I can do about a "bad" admin - to be honest I don't think there are any truly terrible ones. Sounds like you just caught someone in a bad moment.

I got banned for "IC in OOC" when I just said that I'm 2nd time in a row a god damn captain in OOC , what the fuck. By looking at this ban they don't even know what the fuck IC and OOC means(I don't think IC'ly I would say that I'm a 2nd time in a row a captain).

This round I was HoS, and I was going around doing my job. I asked the Roboticist to report to my office straight away, so I could tell him to make a few securobots. The doctor already has my baton from earlier, which he stole, so he proceeds to fuck us up. My security guard pays no attention to me, when I tell him to arrest him, he says "I want to hear his side of the story" and I'm just speechless. The guy has assaulted me, and my subordinate is not obeying my commands. I was like "The fuck?" If I were in his shoes, I'd just obey. That's what you usually do.
Turns out that both those assholes were admins. Domino was the doctor, and he always fucks shit up. I swear, if you're HoS or the Captain or anything with a decent gun, he'll go out of his way to find you, steal your shit, then cuff you and run away. If it were anyone else doing that, we'd get banned.
Then when I go back to arrest him, he starts whining saying he didn't do anything. And I'm getting PM's from admins telling me to be a man and go and kill them, so I take their advice, but most of the admins are bitches.[/QUOTE]

I got banned for being griefed the fuck out of. Imagine being the Roboticist, just building robots, then two twats charge into your office, promptly throw you into the disposal unit, and steal you ID card. You can't do anything. It sucks.
I guess you guys have a point about goon server admins (I got disposaled once). It's ironic that they say you had an autistic shitfit given the stereotype of gaming goons.
Just don't play there, even if it is pretty much lag-free. If you play SS13 as a super serious RP then you deserve it for sucking the laffs out into space.

I ran into some tunnel where the floorboards had been taken out and died. Quickly. I didn't QQ about it, it was funny and I sorta brought it on myself.

I mainly play on the Headswe server, partly because I sorta like the map a bit better and because the admins are better. There are some class A fucknut pubbies though, which makes the griefing all the more fun.

It's lag-free (main thing that kept me away from SS13 in the past), it's got awesome sprites, and it's always lively.

Also, I enjoy the goon server. Goons are idiots, but I've always managed to have fun with lots of people in there and not get banned, and I do plenty of crazy shit as well. I know the admins can be assholes, but as long as you're not whining in OOC you'll be fine. Keep in mind that a new round starts like every hour, so even if someone griefs the fuck out of you, [I]don't cry to the admins[/I] because you'll be able to jump back in within an hour.

The worst thing that happened to me in Goons was when I was fixing the station's APCs and the AI locks me in the observation deck and knock me out via Oxygen deficiency repeatedly until the security guards came by.

What are you talking about, they actually MADE a chemist job.
The new chemistry system rules. Instead of having to activate the beaker to create the chemical reaction, it does so automatically.
Oh that's what that place was? I thought it was toxins, and that chemistry was an expansion of toxins. The station was really fucked up, couldn't really tell.
But how does one use his created foam and whatnot? I hit a guard with my foam and it just made him act all drunk, then he arrested me.
Oh and if anyone knows, I too would like to know how grenades work this time around.
