From my past modding dev experience, when a dev posts something like that, it usually fucking means that there is a 90 percent chance that the mod is in fact dead, hinting that it will either not be released this year or the mod is dead, is a clear cover up to the fact that the mod is actually dead.
Really I didn't trust this mod from the beginning, I'm almost too sure that this mod isn't ever going to be released due to the simple fact that there has never been any actual work done. If it was anywhere close to release, which it should be by now due to the fact that we're reaching the end of 2009, there would of been a lot more media, which there hasn't.
I wouldn't really keep your high hopes up anymore. I know it's dead.

It's not dead. If it was then why would they keep the forums going? Why would Raminator keep coming back to the community? Why would they keep talking about it if it was dead?

Unfortunately it may be even longer, if at all. Depending on how many people find out about it's release and how many servers they have running the download, it'll probably be pretty full and running pretty slow.
