I hope Notch does something about the frame drop, ever since my normal computer crashed Minecraft has been one of the better resorts on my laptop... now I shall remain dreadfully bored until the game is optimized or my normal computer is fixed :(

Oh wow, the leaf removal thing is raping my computer. My old map gets about 2 fps, but a new one I just generated is at normal speed.
I realized that when you eat mushroom soup, the bowl is destroyed. Might be an SMP glitch.

Perhaps crafting certain things with it could end up creating different abominations of nature, what with slimes being so similar to the primordial ooze, thus meaning Slime Balls could act as a sort of "life ball" to make different freaks of nature with.

Notch wants to add magic sometime, so probably some spell usage.
e.g mob bones covered in slime, taking orders from you.
