You don't use mods. Vanilla is always better, no exceptions. I don't get it why people use texture packs, every single one of them is super ugly IMHO except of the RPG pack because it does something different but still artistic rather than make the existing perfect one "better".

If he actually IS planning magic, I dunno if a mana bar would be the best way to do about it. Sure, it'd be the simplest, but being that this game is pretty crafting-and-building-oriented, I think a component-based magic system would fit more, kinda like Wiccans and Pagans and D&D players do spells.

Well it can't be anything that uses textures cause their are no new textures. If there were someone would have found them already.
