I'm using Pet Mod and Human Mod. They should be somewhere in the thread. If not, google it or look them up on Minecraftforums.
The worst part about this game is standing still in a desolate, lonely shelter for 7 minutes waiting for the sun to come up so you won't get arrowed to death.
Somewhere around mid-day I decided to dump out some of the unnecessary things we had picked up in the desert. The Master had also ordered me to destroy any belongings these people had with them, being photos, weapons, personal things. After a bit of an argument, they were allowed to keep their weapons and tools, as they could prove useful.

Well, I got Minecraft 2 days ago and I freaking love it! Me and my friend played until about 4:00 am. During that time, I made a castle and a small village out of the stone we mined.

Petmod/Humanmod solves this greatly.
Make a compass! It's not that hard.

Rate me dumb, but I prefer playing on Peaceful 'til I have a nice base set up, then cranking it up to hard.
That way, I can add a little mineshaft to my house and mine in peace while the sun is down.
I felt that I wanted to find out what had happened. So I decided to go speak with The Master, and ask what kind of stomach pain had caused the animal-tamers death, and how it could be avoided in the future.

Depends on the size of the house. They have a certain radius, so if your house is too small, you have to push them in, otherwise they will hope around outside the door until the find the hole and walk in themselves.
Just gifted Minecraft to someone who really wanted it. :love:
That being said, does anyone know where the heck I can get the human mob mods, the pet mod and the stuff I need to get it working?

Not a mod. I just brought a rouge in there, killed him, and screencapped the body before it disappeared.

After a few stabs to the arms, I finally cornered The Master, and in a hope of getting some information out of him, I ask:
"Who are you, really, and why do you brainwash the people who live in D.H?"

He smiled at me while breathing heavily, and collapsed to the ground.
"My name is Henry Mastruss. My grandfath-"
He stopped himself and spit out some blood, and took a few gasps of breath.
"My grandfather was the creator of D.H! For a long time he had collected material to build with, and several friends of his helped him with building. For the longest time they had lived in the deserts, fending off animals and vile creatures. Then was my father, and now me. And I ha-"
"I did not ask for your life story, Henry, I asked why you are doing this to your people!" I yelled.
His smile widened as he wiped some blood off his mouth.
"What you do not understand, kid, is that I'm not the one brainwashing them, as you call it. The [i]desert[/i] is. Remember how Alfred told you that the lands are evil?"
I stood still for a moment trying to grasp what he said.
"How do you know about that?" I asked calmly.
"Spies. you really thinkI can trust anyone to get people in here all by themselves? I want to know who you bring in, and what is said during your little trip in the Desertlands."
He spit some more blood on the ground.
"What Alfred said is right. These lands are... Not for the faint of heart. After a few days out there, you will go mad. My grandfather wasn't very sane either. People who grew up in "captivity" can never develop this kind of paranoia. People who were picked up in the desert, however, will instantly worship the owner of this city for taking them in."
I lowered my sword. What he said was completely logical.
"Whatever the reason they're brainwashed", I said silently. "It does not make up for the fact that you've killed 5 people to keep two people away."
I jabbed my sword into his heart. As he twitched and tried to grasp any air around him, I swear I heard him call me a fool. But it was too late now. He sunk together, and I let go of the handle.
The Master was dead.
I always have 2 people guarding the entrance into my house, one guarding the entrance to the mine, and one last one with me when I go mining and exploring caves.
