What is the server address?
Our server has become rather troublesome lately. When I hosted it on the Think-Tank, it was fairly dependable (for a Windows machine, granted I like Windows but still), but my internet's shit. So, a friend of mine offers to host it on his "Linux server". Turns out his Linux "server" is a virtual machine running on an 8 year-old Windows XP installation where he likes to *literaly* have at least 2,000 tabs open in Firefox at any given time. Rage ensues.
So I'm making a dam, do I need to make the bottom square? If not, by how much should I get rid of those 2 hills

I'm surprised at how little overhead Arch has without any sort of UI on it. 30MB RAM and <1% CPU usage. If you have an old computer, I'd highly recommend doing an Arch install, using wget to grab your minecraft server files, and writing a quick bash script to start it up every time. I currently have about a week and a half uptime on my server (installed some program on it, configs were acting up and a restart fixed it, should be longer than that.)
PM me our public server IP. [editline]16th December 2010[/editline] I bought Minecraft JUST for you guys. :3:

I'm half-tempted to drag the Think-Tank down there, but that would require me to drain it and I'm lazy. :saddowns:

Let them know I want in when they are available.
You will probably have to PM them.
Ok, PM me someone who owns a server.
I'm trying to figure out what vertical level in the nether I should Build. I build at 75y in the above world for the most varied terrain.
I noticed Onyx's server is no longer running so if you guys want to start fresh you can always join my server. http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1037341-The-Brothers-Creep-A-Minecraft-Survival-Server All the info is there, from this post it will be quite a while until you are added to the whitelist, but I can guarantee that you will be able to get in whenever you want.

I like the new layout
How do you guys get iron so easily? I'm branch mining at the moment, and I've only found enough iron for 3 pickaxes (I needed) and two minecarts (one powered one normal), and I can't find iron at all, took me an hour to get 5 ore, and I want to make a minecart track, going to my other settlements/civilizations/houses/hideouts/whatever. Another thing, I'm starting to get bored of MineCraft, can you give ideas please, then again I only started a few days ago (see this thread for exact date), so I won't really be that good at making very ADVANCED stuff. One more thing, how do you make custom clouds? Can I have a link to the completely transparent clouds please? Or a tutorial on how to make one?
It's cool we're seeing that other people working at Mojang actually do work too, I was under the impression they did nothing. They don't help out with Minecraft coding, do they?
I think Notch has one additional programmer. The rest are community+business.

Still think the whole map/creation editing with an RPG element is a ripoff of RPG creator 2 for the PS2. /shrug
