Alright, I now have Betterlight, SimpleMap and BetterGrass. I've seen mods that add NPCs and stuff, but can't find them. Anyone have a link?

Also, how do you install skin packs? I don't remember this feature before.

Just drop the .zip files into the new "texturepacks" folder.

On another note, now that I know how to make them, my underground castle is going to have a resplendent rice garden. My favorite part is how it seems to be just a bunker embedded into the hillside, but climbing down the ladder brings you to an entire complex.

Areas around the beginning of my nether route. I had to travel around the nether to find a suitable area to begin, so it's like 5 minutes from my portal. Was a total bitch to refind the spot after falling in lava, but I invested the time to make a secondary rail from the portal to the start of the track.
