My world is bundled with iron, you just have to explore around. Go into auto-created caves, dig down until you reach the lava, find iron- everywhere

Stop looking for it. I dug out so many mines looking for iron to make my train-station. Found some, of course, but not as much as I'd like. Then when I stopped looking for it, doing other stuff, I found shitloads of it. So stop looking and do something else. Like... make a mob trap. That way you can get enough gunpowder to make loads of TNT for later. You know, the inevitable day when you snap and blow up everything you created.

Last night my friend mike decided we should build a small fort with a wooden wall.
It worked fine until this morning when my friend bryan and I were playing.
He lit me on fire and when I ran out to the water I lit the wall on fire.
The stone structure in the middle was built to protect ourselves from the 5 or so creepers that happened to have been around the wall.
Well could you give me ideas on what to make?
I'm starting to get bored of minecraft, and I really just got it 5 days ago.

This. I dug several "stair mines" where you dig out one down and one over just looking. Found maybe, 5 or so iron in an hour and lots of coal of course.
Then, I walked about 30 steps over a hill and found a natural cave with like 30 iron.

I just play with Betterlight. Runs great, looks great and is super fun :smug:
Gonna wait till the modding API is added before messing around with more mods. Probably means the mods will be more stable.
