It would probably look bad on his part.
Think about it. He has taken a "Sorry, don't support it bro" stand on modding in general. If he decides to co-opt every mod that does what he claims to be impossible into the game, it would be admitting he was wrong both in that he said it was impossible and in that he was never going to add mod support.
I've never met anyone who liked to admit they were wrong on the internet.
