(I'm using Doku's version 1.5, it looks better than the others. Also, a laptop can run better light with no problem.)

Get a ghast to shoot the base of the portal.
Or wait for one to shoot you, then look at the portal base and punch just as the fire is about to hit you, it will bounce off and hit the portal.

Widen both stairs by two blocks each, widen the water by one as well and then fence the water.
I was thinking of doing that, although I'm not sure if it will break into the next room.
I'll try to fix it and post results.
I've been out of MC for a while.
Do doors work properly now in MP? Does diamond really last forever now? Is it possible to enter the Nether in MP?
