You know what would be awesome with temperature? Steam! It could lift things like gravel into the air, and do damage to mobs.

Haha, I remember way back in the summer when people were raving over the possibilities with steam. I actually created a potential elevator design that could take you to different floors using levers, hatches/floodgates, steam, and a physics block.
Also, was expanding my mineshaft, when I looked up and saw this.
