downloaded the Mixcraft v20 pack and it looks pretty cool!
A friend tried to install it and now his minecraft will black out before the main menu. would replacing the minecraft.jar with the contents from the minecraft.origional.jar fix the problem? or would it be easier to delete the bin folder and reconnect?

Good idea.
Only problem i see with that is that lava moves fucking slowly so maybe someone could think up a design with some sand and lava, like one sand block to slow said person down, they destroy it, lava comes down making it impossible to cross.

Nothing afaik, has physics like sand but that's about it.

So I don't guess there's anyway to get the world to generate more of itself without having to explore, is there? I'd like to build something, but I want it to be in an open field, far away from any of my other buildings and I think it would be easier to generate the world and then find a field on a map instead of running in one direction for a long time.
Started up a new world and I spawned on a rather lofty hill. Turns out there's 2 other hills near by with valleys in between. I'm considering building 2 or 3 bunkers on said hills, and making a subterranean complex connecting them.
