I find it easier to kill someone long range with a gun (not sniper) but short range with 5 hits to the head they still don't die.

Get Battlefield 2 and the Special Forces expansion pack, the booster packs are free with this patch.

ITT: We update our punkbusters.
Just came across the strangest server mod ever. Attacking with your knife drops an ammo pack/health pack if you're a medic. Conversely, knives do no damage. Oh, and there's no limit to how many you can drop.
Also, claymores attached to jeeps. :v:
My rank got reset as well... having to claw my way back up from Private again. Oh well, it's always fun ranking up again.

No, still stretched. They could fix it by having a hud texture that looks squished when opened in Photoshop but will look alright in widescreen. Guess they're too lazy.

Nope. No CD patches get you booted from the server by PB, you need a CD in the drive to play.

I think so. I played a few games earlier, didn't notice any problems.
Does anyone have a Novint Falcon and tried the patch yet? How is it?
Seems that a lot of people just spam grenades now and snipers are a lot more annoying. That's my experience from a few games in infantry only servers haha.
Other than that, the patch seems to be great. Nice to be able to hit things easier now thanks to the fixed hitboxes.
Still would be nice to have real scaled damage but then again it would be more like playing Arma than BF2 so I duno. Kind of annoying being one shotted by a sniper after you fill him with lead from a support gun but meh. I can live with it. :D
I just installed the patch, it only took 2 minutes to install. I don't see what you guys are talking about long install times..
I HATE EA. I used to play BF2 all the time with my friends. I stopped, played gmod alot and other games, came back, and BAM my key was permabanned. I was like wtf? Some of my friends had the same thing happen for no reason. I emailed punkbuster and got the response, there is nothing we can do.
I rebuy the game and so does my friend. We could've bought regular bf2 since we had sf already but we got the BF2 collection for $30.00 i believe, it was fairly new. It came with sf2, and both booster packs. I figured 10 dollars more, why not?
Now i see the booster packs are free. Could've saved 10 bucks.
The patch was fast to install though.
BF2 is awesome though, but a little too many TKers for planes.
Sniping is great.
They still haven't fixed the HUD :argh:

That would cause all sorts of issues with the minimap, when it rotates, it would become unaligned.
