Does anyone else have graphical problems with the new patch? Every time I join a server, I can basically see through everything, besides the vehicles and players. Any ideas?

Ach. I've decided not to patch to 1.5 for now since 1.41 took about 6 hours. Now my game takes 20 minutes to load a map, by which point the round has ended seven thousand times and I have to load the next one, or I get Network Data Corruption - Please Try Again error.
This patch has definitely rekindled my love for the game.
Played for about 3 hours today, took me about an hour to get back into my groove as a medic, afterwards it was just great.
A few friends saw me playing on xfire and joined in and we made a squad and pretty much dominated.
Awesome, can't play on Windows 7.

I use Windows 7 RTM x64, and BF2 works like a charm.

Not really, the RTM is the launch version, I can't understand why PB had to go and be incompatible with RC and Beta builds though. Also I just lost my whole 200MB progress with a download, I was getting speeds nearing a whole MB dammit, but the download can't be paused and continued :argh:

Though making a Beta OS your main OS with no fallback is a pretty damn stupid thing to do.
XP made my games not work, I went to vista, they were working but slow as fuck, went to Windows 7, everything worked. But then PB came along.
PB is such a pain in the arse, I never had problems with it in BF2 before (I did in 2142 though) but now it's kicking me from everything after 2 or 3 minutes, which is particularly annoying when I've just spent 20 minutes loading the damned thing. And yes I have manually updated.
I forgot how fun this game was, and now I can't play it.

You may have to get the newest version. I had the same problem, DL'ed the latest PB, and it worked like a charm
Loving the patch. I mostly play on LAN with my friends. No DVD check means we don't have to pass around my disk anymore and now there are six new maps for us to play!

Oh man, just played for a few hours. The great thing about the large scale of the game (big maps, lots of vehicles) is that infantry can actually sneak. Story time:
I'm rolling down a road in a tank, when another tank rolls right the fuck up the road at me, and of course we fight. He wins- I bail out just in time, losing half my health in the explosion. I run up and over a small hill and go prone. Still in his tank, the other guy begins the long trip (5-10 seconds) around this grassy knoll to finish off my Marine ass. Staying out of sight, I run around to the side of his tank, plant my C4, [I]right as he turns the cannon to turn me into swiss cheese.[/I] Roughly two feet away from the C4 i just planted, I hit the detonator, giving my life for [B]AMERICA.[/B] :patriot:

Yes i thought, awesome they fixed it, but no it doesn't fix it.
