PC/Wii/DS/PS3
My PC is pretty bad, but I'm going to try putting one together soon and try to make something decent.
Also, I like my PS3 and DS.
I was always interested in PC's. We had one when I was 4, but then we didn't for a long while. I was a console gamer up until around the Gamecube came out. Then I went to a little LAN place and played Diablo 2, and Half-Life.. I've been primarily a PC gamer since, but consoles can be fun as well.
Put them all in order of want, then get them all through careful money management. Simple.
-More games
-I grew up with it
Ive got a ps3, xbox, wii and a pc.
Why choose?

I chose both!!
Back when I took up gaming, consoles weren't really for gaming. They were more for having fun with friends... The good old days :saddowns:
I chose both like another dude. Consoles are great for playing with other people locally and PC is cool too
I also chose both, if you say there aren't 12 year olds on PC you're a liar.
I choose both.
Both have their strengths and weaknesses.
Mods, Able to store alot more games on hard drive, so can back-up discs in case they break(unlike my 360, gta iv disc got super scratched when console got bumped, can't play that anymore), STEAM so I don't even have to worry about discs aslong as I have the GCF files or internet
and consoles don't have direct x 11.. we all know the wonders tessellation could produce if it was fully utilized
I chose both because I'm flexible like that.
I choose both because you cant really hold a lan party on pcs
A true gamer pics both. To be in and dedicated to the gaming business and community you have to master all and not just stick to one platform.
I chose PC because I need it for work and study. Can't get much work done on a 360.
If you think that the PC has a better community, I have three words for you:
*Counter
*Strike
*Source

Because one game represents a whole community :downs:
Because one game represents a whole community :downs:
And that community happens to be filled with 10-year-olds and hardcore-elitists. It's sad really. But I digest, good game otherwise.

And how could I possibly forget the most important part of the community? Noobs!
i prefer the pc cause it has steam
also freeware is nice.
but i have a DS that i like a lot, and a wii which is ok, but i like my pc better.
and my psp which i havent found any good games for.
and all the old systems, which are awesome.
I chose console because I hate upgrading my pc to match the requirements for the games on the market today.

you do the same thing when you buy a new console basically
and you cant play the old games on the new console necessarily (example: ps3 after the first series)
I grew up with both but then moved on to the PC since the Xbox 360 and PS3 sounded like a thing only morons would buy if they didn't know about mod support and how the PC had multiplayer decades before consoles.

And now are getting shitty ports because all the companies care about now are console gamers, its where their money comes from.
Thats what PC exclusives are for, games that will always have widescreen support, dedicated servers, proper FoV values and most importantly mod tools or at least map tools.

Or they want XBox 360 and PS3 games. :downs:
flexibility mods steam better hardware better/more customizable controls
i do own a ps3 but i've been regretting buying it for a while now since there's maybe 2-3 console exclusive games for it that i thought were actually good and i don't even have a big HD tv for blurays

Actually what he said is true for a lot of communities in PC gaming.
That happens to be less common than the PC elitist who thinks he is genetically superior for picking a certain platform to shoot people on, however.
Grew up with PC gaming.
I grew up with consoles and PC gaming, but the PC games were always... better. More detailed, more interesting. I played console games just to fit in.
Also, CYBRANS FTW
I choose both because you cant really hold a lan party on pcs
HAHAHA OH LOL SERIOUSLY!? PC USERS INVENTED LAN PARTIES. Dude, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Yeah, this is a big part of it for me: the lack of backwards compatibility, forcing me to keep old consoles around, pisses me off. With PC, I just load up dosbox or whatever and bam, running old games once again. And because the storage medium only gets bigger and cheaper, it's easy to keep all my old games.

Uhh..... what? I have no idea what you're trying to say here.
I choose Console+PC.
