is that really a fair comparison (i dont have the game) or did they turn the effects off in the options to make physx look better?
I'm looking for a game where I can either:
- Destroy stuff (Like DMM)
- See shit change according to what I do with it (Like shooting cloth in mirror's edge)
- Dynamic Bodies (I want to be able to cut shit up)
Anybody know any games like this?
Edit:
Preferably free, and I'm gonna have to take out anything needing a nvidia card >:(
farcry 2 + flame thrower. i was suprise the first time one little puff of flame made a big mess. makes you realize that those forest fires they have in california all the time is some serious shit.

What? You mean when they showed the game without physx? It was all the same except physx turned off. I have the game on the 360 and after seeing that video I wish I had a PC that could run it with physx.

But Physx is Nvidia only?
Nvidia's Cascades is pretty cool. Wasted so much time on that.

We need a megathread for tech demos overall.
The Jedi Knight games with realistic saber cheat turned on.
Dismemberment all over the place.

This cheat never worked for me :(
If you were playing Jedi Academy, that's probably why. It didn't have the crazy-awesome high dismemberment rates that Jedi Outcast did, so you rarely ever saw a dismemberment.
You could alway play Crazy Machines II, that has PhysX (and water, although I dunno if they have it outside of the nVidia demo)
