I like "unrealistic" zombie games, but I feel that there are too many "unrealistic" ones. A realistic one would be a breath of fresh air.
Exactly my point. If this is going to be a tactical game, I want there to be an actual sense of danger from the undead. Besides, these are slow, shambling zombies. If the threat of infection isn't there, then what's the point? At least L4D zombies have speed. Besides numbers, what threat would these present?
ubcs, the real uss is fucking pro as hell, just look at hunk. and fucking 1 bite 1 kill is stupid. When it comes to zombies health bars or bleeding injuries should only apply. realism doesn't fit in zombie games, especially when you want to have fun and not have to be like "omg are any of my guys infected" (one of the big reasons why "The Thing" the game was a flop, that shit was fucking annoying.
Look at Resi 5, hardly survival horror. If they make another Resident evil i would want it to actually be more focused upon survival than all action.
If it's anything like an improved version of Resident Evil: Outbreak, it'll be good.
Just saying, I'm fucking tired of zombie games. I want it to be reminiscent of the old Resident Evil. You know, when I was fucking scared shitless everytime I see a zombie. There are too many zombie games where its all about "HERP DERP GOTTA SHOOT UNTIL THEY ALL DIE" unlike the old "OH FUCK OH FUCK I'M OUT OF AMMO SHIIIIIT." I want bites that will really give you damage and health scarce.
Yeah, one bite one kill, that would work if you wanted your publishers to lose all of their money. Honestly, if I was the developers, I would listen to the majority of the gamers (the casuals) than some obscure group of people who masturbate to anime porn that want the game to be unbalanced.
my mind Hurts from reading the above posts.
my mind Hurts from reading the above posts.
unfortunately they still aren't banned
I tought that this Was going to be Like Resident Evil Outbreak, but looks like Capcom isn't going to go back to the old gameplay, Anyway I hope that there is some challenge in this game, and By challenge I mean very limited munition in some situations, enemies like nemesis or the tyrants chassing you for the whole level and you can't kill them, puzzles that requieres some effort. Also that thing about Killing survivors sounds awesome, but I remember that the Umbrella mercenaries from RE3 were sent to save survivors (and you had to save them on the mercenaries minigame) but Nicholai (the leader of the squad) decided try to kill Everybody to be one of the few survivors from raccon and recive money from umbrella to shut up or something like that, but that about Killing survivors makes sense, Umbrella doesn't want witnesses, so aside from sending a special tyrant to kill the remaining starts they sent a Squad to silence all the other survivors. It would be cool if they add something like the RE outbreak infection meter and you have to find vaccines and stuff like that to stop the infection
my mind Hurts from reading the above posts.
You should done a "I'll post in mordin's voice" post.
From what it sounds like, if you injure a member of the other team, the zombies will be attracted to the smell of blood and go after them. That's what it sounds like, we'll see how it plays out.
Lots of griefing is going to happen.
ITT: "Realistic" Zombie Game Seriously, stop throwing the word around. 1) If this game wants to stick to Resident Evil story and lore(something like that), then yes one bite and you should become infected. Eventually dying and going zombie. 2) Or, they could chose to go like original Resident Evil games. One bite takes a chunk of health, maybe you can survive 3 or 4 bites. 3) Last, they can chose to have your whole team somehow immune to the virus, or just you. Get bit all you want, but you won't flinch. It can be thought of as Punishment for failure. 1) Beat to death for fucking up a single thing. 2) A good beating for messing up a bit. 3) Slap on the wrists for not paying much attention. Or, we could just have a difficult setting like in older games. Chose any option and start playing. Appeal to all assholes alike.
People saying "Yeah well if you make it 1 bite kill then enjoy your minuscule sales". So you don't think there is a market for extremely hard but very rewarding games? Last time I checked, Ninja Gaiden sold a lot, and so did Demon's Souls.
I hope it's exactly like this.
I'd like one bite to be killed As a option
I'd like one bite to be killed As a option
I think it'd be great as a hard mode.
Exactly, please both crowds, those who think it's a dumb idea, they get a mode where they can take a few zombie nibbles, and give the hardcrowd their pro mode where a single bite and you suddenly get a craving for flesh. Speaking of which hope when you die you actually turn, and not just respawn as some nameless grunt
Doesnt sound like the right path to take for the franchise, but I'll look forward to hearing and seeing more off it simply because it goes back to Racoon City and actual zombies.
After watching the opening to RE3 again..I hate to be those guys. Also Crimson heads :q:
I hope it's exactly like this.
My most favorite intro to a game ever, so much nostalgia :v:
...Why are these things never created!!!!???
I'm sure I saw a demo of a game built on the assets of SWAT 4, with zombies
I'm sure I saw a demo of a game built on the assets of SWAT 4, with zombies
... Hnnnnggg
Yeah that game got canned.
Oh wait, It's just for the 360 and PS3. My hopes have been crushed. Well, not crushed, I don't own any of those anyways.

I'm glad Capcom isn't making it, they fucked up at re4. I don't want shitty Action games. I want survival horror.
By now it's obvious Capcom isn't going back to the old survival horror style, so maybe letting a different company make a Resident Evil game is just what I need. Of course, this could end up having the same problems RE4/5 do (that is to say, not being fucking scary or challenging) but at the very least it'll have some of the iconic enemies.
I'm glad Capcom isn't making it, they fucked up at re4. I don't want shitty Action games. I want survival horror.
Resident Evil 4 is awesome.
Only if you crave the need to slaughter a bunch of Spanish parasites.
I guess I was the only one that found RE4 to be a decent but nothing more third person shooter. The gameplay was ok, the characters sucked (Napoleonic Zombie Dwarf) and it wasn't scary at all (no a guy jumping out of an oven is not scary, it's the cheapest of the jump-scares and as such does not work unless RE4 is your first game with jumpscares). As a normal game it was pretty good, but as a RE it was pretty bad.
