old resident evil was sweet. Capcom got too big headed with Resident Evil 4 being so fucking kick ass. It was awesome, and did not need to be replicated. Now the WHOLE series is action shooty fests
I think the main thing about enjoying this game will be looking at it as a fun zombie game and not a Resident Evil game. Otherwise you'll just drive yourself insane and won't be able to like it due to the stark contrast.

If a smalltime character gets real popular in a series, it's not uncommon for said series to bend over backwards to make it seem like said character was supposed to be incredibly important all along.
Yeah, Wesker's survival was retconned in, but I thought it was well handled all things considered. However, I really didn't care for his portrayal in Resident Evil 5 at all. He went from being this cool and controlled power player, controlling all the events from the shadows to your stereotypical take over the world villain in 5. Honestly, the less you see of him, the more I like him, like Ada's side missions in Seperate Ways where you only see him briefly in the cut scenes.

Mr.X was a pushover, even on hard. I mean, he scares the fuck out of me, but it was only until recently that I realized he goes down pretty easy, especially in the beginning.

Well, this year if it is released by christmas, I'll have to churn out money for this, Skyrim... And not sure what else... Maybe Dead Island. But either way this looks promising.

I'm pretty hyped for this but i can see it being a disappointment. Only time will tell, hopefully they don't fuck it up by trying to go along the action route rather than horror.

Just hoping that there isnt some form of night vision goggles. Flashlights fit their purpose.
