The trailer was really cool, I hope the game ends up being fun.
I dunno, it looks cool, and the idea seems awesome, but the whole "zombies aren't a big deal" thing just kills it for me.
It comes out on my birthday. I might pick it up.

I envy you. I'm picking my pre-order up on Tuesday, and trading in this god-awful copy of Silent Hill Downpour to get a little extra credit towards RE. I'm actually excited for this game, because it seems like a fun new take, and Multiplayer-RE has always been a dream of mine since Outbreak kind of failed with it :v:

Don't envy me, since I'm also currently playing Downpour and suffering for it.
Also I can't tell you how much I'd pay for an HD remake of the Outbreak series with proper multiplayer over Xbox Live/PSN. I'd seriously kill to see that happen.

Outbreak was a fantastic game, but the fact that the game had to load for over a minute every time you went through a door, and setting up the internet for the PS2 was extremely difficult for some reason (might have been the fact that I was like 14 :v:) made it difficult to enjoy, especially since the online multiplayer was the main selling point for it.
And I envy you because you have your copy early, no one should have to suffer through Downpour :suicide:
Sixty bucks seems like far too much for this kind of experience. Being a big RE fan makes it rough, but i'll probably wait for a price drop or a sale.
Not to mention how odd the characters look. I'm supposed to believe these are special operations units and they each look like something out of a tacticool heavy anime.

is this game free roam? They make it seem like it is when they say explore Racoon City and collect data and shit or whatever. Also what are your thoughts on the game so far?

Honestly the game just feels like another cover shooter, pretty boring and generic. I'm also not too keen on traversing the same ground that's been covered by Resident Evil 2 and Darkside Chronicles.
As far as free roam goes, I'm pretty sure it's not, you just progress through the story visiting various locales collecting items and completing objectives.
I got a 5minute hands on last year at Gamefest UK. Seems okay from what I played would like to see me that's why I pre-ordered :smile:

They are still very much a threat in the game. When I played it last year I had one of those fuckers sneak up on me when I was in cover.

As promised, here's the video. I die once to Birkin out of nowhere, but that's mostly because he caught me by surprise. It's the first mission of the game.
Looks awesome a little buggy though. The weapon sounds are very good also. I'd like to see some zombie action though.
HUNK is probably one of the best characters throughout the whole series.
The sound on the vid seems to desync somewhere. I was skipping around and realized the gunshots are a second or two off.

Agreed, I didn't have very much fun playing. I'm sure playing it cooperatively will liven it up a bit.

One of the multiplayer modes, you get to play as Leon and other resident evil characters.
Seems cool, especially when there's Zombies around to distract the players.

Not sure yet depends on how it will play out. To me it looks like a bit like you are over seeing some of the events of Raccoon City. But the "what if" choices do appeal to me like what will happen if you kill Leon.
Plus the will be DLC for Echo Six.
What about PC? ETA?
