Call of Duty 2 ENB Series Config (A great alternative to COD5) (Partial Megathread)
Does it work with Ricochet.
Only if Ricochet runs off of DX8 or DX9. (Didn't the Gold Source engine use DX6?)
Even if it did, because of VAC I wouldn't recommend it.
This entire thread baffles me. I see NO difference at all, in any ANY screenshots.

Then you're either blind or have a greyscale monitor.
The Gamebyro engine is one of the few upon which ENB series supports SSAO.
I'm pretty damn sure it'll work in Fallout 3, it works perfectly in Oblivion. Now, don't think an older gamebyro engine game like Morrowind will benefit from it, but definitely Oblivion and Fallout 3.
It actually does benefit from it, immensely. Also, Morrowind was the NetImmerse engine, the precursor to Gamebryo.

The distant land in this one is from Morrowind Graphics enhanced. Hard to imagine that this game was released May 2002, eh?
Also, I have a question. No matter what I do, I can't get bloom to disable using this application. Even removing the entire bloom section doesn't work.
All I see is toned up bloom.
All I see is toned up bloom.
Toned up bloom and repositioned shadows.
Doesn't seem all that extraordinary.

As I've said before, COD2 isn't fully supported by ENBSeries, so all I can enable is bloom (Which COD2 did not have prior) and color correction.
It looks great in game, and it looks even better in supported games like GTA:SA.

This is in Morrowind, using the GTA:SA (I think) version.
I don't see any difference at all except that the right images are slightly darker.
Then you're either blind or have a greyscale monitor.
Or the differences are extremely minute.
I believe this thread to be better because it is more specialized toward ENBSeries.
That is a great thread for GTA:SA mods, though.
Edit:
-Updated ENBSeries Config and changed the recommended version of ENBSeries for COD2.
The newer config fixes two errors I made with the actual values, tweaks the bloom a bit, and completely changes the color correction. The new color correction values really bring some color to the game. It quite simply looks amazing now.
I'll throw some new screenshots up shortly.

Here's a quick comparison made from the few screens I took during testing. It's not perfect, but it'll do for now.
I thought that was Crysis until I saw that they were holding an StG44.
Damnit I cannot find my Cod2 cd's :C
This makes me almost want to buy GTA: SA.
Wow, SA looks incredible with this.
But CoD2 I really can't see any difference.

As I've said, it's purely because I like my bloom and color correction minimal (And those are the only features that function in the COD2 engine).
You could easily turn it up to make it more noticeable. (It's also a lot more noticeable ingame.)

More color, better lighting (Bloom), and darker shadows.
Downoloading for oblivion and others. Tweaking is gonna be a pain in the ass.
What this seems to mostly do is increase the contrast of the image beyond the normal ranges that the games support. For instance, COD 2 only supports a small range of colours and brightnesses (8-bit). With this mod however, the range is made much bigger, akin to the difference of Half-Life 2 and Lost Coast.

So we get that kind of effect, where brighter things become brighter and darker things become darker but we don't lose the luminosity that we would if we just messed with the contrast settings.
However, the Tone-mapping of this mod seems to be fairly limited, and we don't get the ultra sexy reflections that 16 or 32 bit rendering gives us.
SSAO is cool, looks fucking great in Warhead. Nvidia has drivers that do this though right?

I can see a difference in that. It makes morrowind look more livier (if that's a word..) But for cod2 it just seems to have a bit o' bloom added. Maybe it works best with older games?
damn, I feel like installing CoD2 again.
fuck nuts i would play cod2 mp but some fagg stole my key and it wont work anymore
Has anyone tried ENB with HL1? (or hl:s)
ENB makes Parallel Lines look horrible, its so bright.
The stupid minimap doesn't even display properly.

Crysis and Crysis Warhead already have SSAO implemented, so there's no need for using the ENB Series mod. And yes, If you have a Nvidia 8800 or +, you can enable ambient occlusion in some games.
