Steam keys [editline]19th December 2010[/editline] Also the way they talk about it Revenge of the Titans and Cortex Command are coming to Steam
i doubt that was the surprise they did say in dev chat mini faq steams coming so there is still a surprise
Osmos is such an awesome game, I've had it since it came out and still haven't fully completed it.
I'd accept any sort of extra change on PayPal. I don't have any currency at the moment, but I do have an IPTorrents invite which is nice. braden.timss@gmail.com if you feel in a mood.
Holy shit, you can add them to steam now? Buying them as soon as i get home.
Machinarium was really good.
http://tigradio.com/ wolfire is live right now talking about the bundle and stuff [editline]20th December 2010[/editline] they just announced that they'll add a bittorrent download for the games, web seeded and everything
Smug bastard. I don't like him, in fact I think I hate data even more now.
how the hell do I play Braid? I'm too stupid to work out how to get half the puzzle pieces. There must be something I'm missing.
Hope I don't get ninja'd, but you can jump on puzzle pieces after you place them.
Machinarium is really pretty but it's probably one of the most tedious and anger inducing games I've played in years.
Smug bastard. I don't like him, in fact I think I hate data even more now.
Yeah, don't get me wrong, I love CC, but the dev seems like a real ignorant fuck.
"david" on the topic of money lost from people paying less than 40 cents or whatever it is david : well the generous folks make up for it david : but probably several thousand [editline]19th December 2010[/editline] (he's one of the website chat people)
Yeah, don't get me wrong, I love CC, but the dev seems like a real ignorant fuck.
What did he say?
Machinarium is really pretty but it's probably one of the most tedious and anger inducing games I've played in years.
It's really well designed for the first few screens, when all the puzzles are localized to a single screen. But then the world opens up a bit more and it turns into an adventure game with one of the worst cases of "adventure logic" (as in, why am I picking this shit up, and why am I doing this puzzle) ever recorded. It's too bad, too, because the art is beautiful. [editline]19th December 2010[/editline]
What did he say?
From what I understand, Data (developer) just feels no obligation to his community or to really finish the game... or at least, that's what I got from his posts in the forum. I didn't hear what he said on TIG, though...

Anyone know how to transfer my save from my original machinarium install to steam? I looked at the files and its all ones and zeros :tinfoil:
What did he say?
Basically: I don't need to finish the game, I'll do it whenever I want, I'm not your "slave" nor do I give a fuck you gave me your money I have no legal obligation I have lots of things to do, don't bother me with your petty needs Active development = wanting to finish the game, and not necessarily actually working on the game [editline]19th December 2010[/editline] Defending his lack of work in the last near 2 years since B23.
That was pretty much the gist of it, what a prick.
Yeah, this post (linked from the Data Realms forums) shows some significant douche-baggery. He does have a point in saying that he's making the game for his own enjoyment. And, well, people that bought it were warned that it may not be finished... but he's basically admitting he probably won't finish Cortex Command any time soon. If you look at his blog, he's already started making another game, without even finishing the one people have already paid for... (something which other developers, like Notch, are guilty of... but at least Notch already has a functioning, nearly-complete game and a whole studio.) [editline]19th December 2010[/editline] I really hope Cortex Command goes open-source as part of the bundle or something. Then people could actually finish it rather than being at the mercy of this developer who appears to have taken his fans' money and ran.
Nothing wrong with what Notch does. If anything, Data should look to Notch or Toady for an example of how to behave. [editline]19th December 2010[/editline] Rate clock.
When does the humble bundle end
in a day

I want my money back. Data is a prick.
When does the humble bundle end
In a 5 days. They're extended the end date.

I'm not convinced this was really worth it. Braid's kind of fun, I suppose. Machinarium is just annoying, Osmos made me sick of it within five minutes, and Cortex Command...well, I'm just fucking TERRIBLE at it. Revenge of the Titans, however, I enjoy. Always love a good TD game. At least I have Minecraft.
