There's an official addon by the creator of the mod that replaces the Assault Rifle with a Pistol, for the purist fans (albeit a new pistol instead of the old one); it doesn't support Doom 1, sadly, but I've gotta say that while it lacks ironsights for easy headshots, my god is it more satisfying to use. Full semi-auto too. Anyone know how to install Brutal Doom with Skulltag on Linux? I have skulltag working but wasn't sure how to go around adding Brutal Doom. edit: nevermind figured it out
I would recommend adding [URL="http://zdoom.org/wiki/ZDL"]ZDL[/URL] to the OP, it makes selecting what WADs you want to play with easier, and can save several configurations of WADs that are easily switched around.
SO I'm not the only one still hooked into this! Lemme check if I had the latest version.. No, I had the 0.15. thanks for keeping me up to date!

Take one, get locked in against the wall (so you can keep hitting him and not get knocked 5 kilometres away by his kick every time), punch like mad, take second, repeat, RIP AND TEAR.

Heh, in the old versions of this mod, the Cyberdemon had a rapid fire grenade launcher. A fatality would not even be an option

Though TNT or Plutonia wouldn't be bad either. Any WAD wouldn't be much of a problem anyway. Doomseeker just downloads them automatically most of the time. Also, Skulltag is probably your best bet.

As for what PWADs, Speed of Doom is a good one. Whispers of Satan is another decent one. Post the IP, I'll be game for it when you all are.

Alright, I'll do a Doom 2 Skulltag server but I'll accept requests for WADs as long as everyone is fine with it.

Jumping on/over enemies is actually a vital trick to staying alive and not getting cornered, especially by Pinky demons.
I'm having some issues setting this up on my dedi, ugh. What's the skulltag command line switch to load a server cfg file? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Are there any open maps with a lot of enemies (like a stadium or a city or something)? I want to experiment with dismemberment
