Moments in video games that impacted you emotionally.

In Persona 3 where [sp]shinji died and you got to see akihiko still trying to talk to his grave as if he was there...[/sp]
Let's see, the ending of Mass Effect 2, the majority of moments in Halo: Reach, and in Modern Warfare 2 when [sp]Shepard kills Roach and Ghost[/sp]. Also in MW2 I really did get chills when Hans Zimmer's score was playing while you were looking at Washington D.C. on fire. It made me think, "I'm witnessing the fall of western civilization, right here in the trenches".
Oh no, someone likes MW2's campaign. HERESY FOR NOT BEING ON THE BANDWAGON
The last two chapters of Ghost Trick :(
When a character you grow attached to suddenly dies. See Bad Company 2 when [sp]our favorite hippie pilot get shot down.[/sp]
Some parts and the ending of Dreamfall almost had me crying
The ending of almost ever MGS game.
In Stalker I followed a small little squad for an hour then me can across 2 burers who killed them both while I ran away, I'm such a coward. Such life in the zone.
[sp]Killing Cass[/sp] in New Vegas, [sp]Having to sort out her life out then kill her really made me feel bad, especially when she talked about her family before I took her back to Silver Rush.[/sp]
L.A. Noire's ending.
Both inFamous 2 endings, they are sad.
Metro's ending made one think. Nothing too big though.
One was in Metroid Prime 2, when you're exploring Sanctuary Fortress. Throughout the whole fortress you'd been hearing its upbeat theme:

But then you walk through a door into a tunnel, and you notice the tunnel is filled with glowing blue particles floating about int the air, and the music changes to this:

Gave me a serious case of the shivers.
Another one was from Just Cause 1, when I first flew up into the clouds with a helicopter. It gave me this incredible sense of vastness and beauty, it just made me stop and stare in awe.
It would have to be Kane and Lynch 1...
Basically... both the endings are depressing [sp]seeing everyone you knew besides Lynch and your daughter (Almost dieing herself) dies, while the other ending makes Lynch AND his daughter lose all of their respect for Kane. Even when your trying to rescue your men, it's depressing to hear them already assuming Kane left them for good.[/sp]
Made me depressed for about a week. :(
Someone said it already, but KOTOR-[sp]After saving the galaxy, Revan just leaves. His friends live on with the hope that they'll see him again after he's finished, but the fact that you find his ship in KOTOR2 and that there's no sign of him on Malachor VI suggests that he died. Also the mystery behind what he was looking for, something so evil that he wouldn't even speak of it. It just makes me feel like shit.[/sp]
The ending of Portal 2 with [sp]the turrets singing while you ride the elevator to freedom[/sp]
Seeing intricate idle animations in games makes me really happy for some reason. Especially in RTS and TBS games.
The last two chapters of Ghost Trick :(
I really need to finish that game. I think I've got an idea of where it's going though =/
Twilight Town music from Kingdom Hearts 2. The only song that truly depresses me, but almost in a good way. It reminds me from when I was 11 when the game came out.
Playing through both games makes you feel sad for Sora, what with the [sp] having to leave the girl you love to save your friend, only for you to end up the girl forget who you are, and the friend you were looking for practically sold his soul to the Darkness. [/sp]
There's a lot of smaller sad scenes, but I can't name all of them.
Ending of Borderlands
[sp]I feel fucking molested by the ending, permanent emotional damage[/sp]
World in Conflict and Soviet Assault [sp]The whole story about Bannon and the death of Orlovsky[/sp]
And MGS4 of course
The part of Bioshock where [sp]you kill Andrew Ryan[/sp]
Red Dead Redemption, when the credits rolled.
I really need to finish that game. I think I've got an idea of where it's going though =/
Depends on where you are. If you're not at the last two or three chapters, then whatever your idea is, it's wrong. Seriously.
Fallout New Vegas, Dead Money when you find Christine. [sp]When I released from from the Auto-Doc and noticed all the scars and the lack of vocal cords it felt such a wrong thing to do to anybody, and I was partly responsible for it for going into Sierra Madre in the first place. It also made me realize all the wrongs Elijah commits for his own purposes. Even though Christine got her vocal cords fixed, it wasn't her voice, so Elijah had destroyed a part of her.[/sp]
in Persona 4 when [sp]Nanako dies and depending on your choice comes back to life or not[/sp]
In The Witcher 2 when that draugir begs for mercy right after I have defeated it in single combat. I can't think of a time before that when an enemy has begged me for mercy, they always fight to the death.
[sp]then he gets killed by the Draug. I would have spared him too[/sp]
Also during the battle reenactment, the ghosts are talking about how they didn't want to go to war, they actually liked the kingdom they were fighting against, it was full of good people and markets had good prices. Wars in video games are usually portrayed as career soldiers going at it, not regular people fighting to protect their land, women, and children
The Witcher 2 when [sp]King Foltest was assassinated right after seeing his children.[/sp]
Also the first time I played ME2 and lost some of my squadmates as well as the rest of the crew. I'm probably going to be bringing that save into ME3 since it wasn't a thought through playthrough that used guides and hints. It was a playthrough based on my decisions and mistakes, and that feels more human.
when meryl got shot in MGS1
i was like 10 at the time and it hit me pretty hard
i was so happy when i found out she wasnt actually dead
Also every single stranger mission in RDR was depressing (and fucked up sometimes) as hell.
Mirrors Edge at the end, that song (Still Alive) is amazing
seeing the marker in dead space 2, [sp]and the convergence event[/sp]
I never thought it'd be THAT big.
Just finished Metal Gear Solid 3.
The part where The Boss betrays Snake and throws him off the bridge, and they share that moment where they're both reaching out for each other, then the Bond-style theme kicks in.
Also, at the end after he finds out that they were both used by the government and he was forced to kill her, he visits her grave, salutes and sheds a single tear.
Best game in the series hands down.
