Getting a good ending in Fallout:New Vegas. I felt like "yeah, I think it'll all be alright." Just the whole bittersweet thing when you realize that humanity is an almost indestructible thing, for better or worse.
Also, the end of Episode Two.
I need to play more games that give you those pangs of emotion.
in red dead redemption,
[sp]when luisa gets shot[/sp]
she was a really good character and nobody really acknowledges her death :c
The end of MGS4.
No more needs be said, right?

That was just anti climatic.
The ending of Little Big Planet just left me with a huge smile on my face.
Not achieving perfect ending on Mass Effect 2.
Tears were shed.
Played the whole damn thing all over again to get it. [sp]Fuckin' Tali getting all missle'd up in the... uh... face?.[/sp]

:saddowns:
First time playing through Twin Rocks in Red Dead Redemption.
If you haven't played it, once you get inside the house, a bandit is keeping the farmer's daughter hostage. If you get too close, he shoots her.
I don't know why I got really sad that she died either. She wasn't a main or hardly even a minor character. Had no idea who she was. :frown:
[editline]4:44[/editline]
I didn't even think the ending was as sad as that part, to be honest. Maybe because it was spoiled for me though.
The end of Red Dead Redemption [sp]when Jack kills Edgar Ross in Mexico. Johns redemption and sacrifice to ensure his family had a better life were in vain as Jack took on his father's name and lifestyle and became a murderer.[/sp]
The ending to The Overlord DLC for Mass Effect.
"Square root of 912.04 is 30.2... it all seemed harmless."
That is the only time a game has ever made me put down the controller and CRY.

You can just shoot the guy in the head. She lives, he dies, you get free ammo. Everyone is happy! (Or dead).
Also, in Fallout 3:
I was just fresh out of the vault, wandering around, when I happened across a man and his robot. He told me how it was broken, and I fixed it for him. He thanked me and we went our seperate ways. Later on down the road, however, I was ambushed by raiders (thought I could sneak past) and was pinned down in a corner with like 15 health, when I hear lazer shots and screaming coming from the left. The man and robot I had helped were charging towards the raiders. They were enough to help me finish off the raiders, however neither survived.
I kept his shirt and goggles on my shelf for remembrance. :911:

I wasn't aware of that at the time.
Heavy Rain... :(
MGS 3 ending.
God damn, onions all around me during that.
a lot of game endings like most cods (5,6,7,2), ac 1, call of juarez, DW6, dark sector, fallout 3 and nv, GOW, ME 1 and 2, MAFIA 2, Kotor 1 and 2, Conviction, TFU 1 and 2, SF IV
decisions in AP and ST jkja 3
The ending of CoD World at War [sp]what with you getting shot point blank just to have your best friend shank him and assist you in leading your country to victory over the strongest world power of the time.[/sp]
Call of juarez : bound in blood had a very unexpected twist at the end that both made me happy and sad.
That said, most of the time you spend with Khan are very emotional because you learn a lot of things about the station and stuff. It was a very interesting part of the game because you didn't actually have to fire a single bullet for the whole part.
And Sasha, that little boy you find on your way and must escort to a safe location. God it was depressing to find this kid dead in front of his uncle.
~SPOILER~ (Max Payne 2, by the way).

you can't help but go like :unsmith:
now that's an excellent plot
In Mass Effect 2 when [sp]Garrus died on my first playthrough[/sp] :frown:
when gohst died in modrn worfare 2 i was liek NO GHOOOOOSt
in all seriousness, when [sp]eli died in episode two[/sp]
After [sp]John Marston[/sp] died in RDR. I had it spoiled for me previously, but it's still the first, and only time I have actually been depressed for about a week after playing a game.
In cod black ops. [sp]When Dimitri dies, and when you learn when reznov isn't real.[/sp]
When the nuke goes off in CoD 4 That fucking made me feel sad knowing all your friends are dead and you are barely surviving and you're just walking around and hearing voices fucking sad.
When John Marston died. :smithicide:
Do the "remember my family" mission for revenge, when I was done with ross there were so many knives in his face you couldn't tell him from a cougar. I hated it when the Indian guy got shot, also when your old leader blows that ladies brains out.

The revenge was the best part of that game. I shotgunned executioned Edgar Ross's wife, tied his brother up with the lasso, then sprinkled cougar bait onto him, them emptied two Mauser clips into Ross's face.
When I reached 999,999 in Tetris.
Okay, I lied! :smithicide:
Cliché'd perhaps, but the death of [sp]Aries[/sp] in FF7.
Also, the ending of Mirrors Edge got to me surprisingly. Aswell as the ending of ME1. i just sat there blown compleatly away.
In HL2, after the striders are let loose in the residential areas. You enter a building seeking refuge from the strider's reality-bending cannons to hear a desparate call for help. You walk into the flooded basement and see a lonely black man lying in a smear of blood with zombies all around. You hatefully cut these zombies down for what they have done. You go back to the dying man, and he tells you something important, but you are not listening as you are wondering what is going through this poor man's mind as he slips out of this life. He tells you to go. You wander outside, back into the madness, slightly scarred, wanting to avenge this innocent man's death.
And the hellishly brutal revolution continues.
Personally, I left him a medkit and my mighty crowbar as a farewell good hope gift.
