Moments in video games that impacted you emotionally.

That part in Super Meat Boy when [sp]you start to play past the first world.[/sp]
:ohdear:
Dead Rising 2, when [sp] Rebecca gets blasted by that douchebag security guard so suddenly. Sudden deaths always get me. [/sp]
Being forced to kill Andrew Ryan and not being able to stop it. I hated Frank Fontaine so much after that.
Pretty much most of Lost Odyssey.
When I found my first diamond.
Amnesia when anything happens.
I wept in Shadow of the Colossus when [sp]Agro fell.[/sp]
I felt like a dick at the end of the game for slaughtering 17 (or was it 16) colossi all for the sake of saving 1 girl. The collosi didn't even do anything until you came up to them ready to slaughter them.
When [sp]What's her name died in GTA4, Kate?[/sp]
The emotional part for me was when she called me the next day
I felt bad for Patrick more than anything.
in red dead redemption,
[sp]when luisa gets shot[/sp]
she was a really good character and nobody really acknowledges her death :c
Rockstar actually meant for it to be that way, it's supposed to be symbolic.

What was it symbolic of?
I remember the part but I never noticed it was her until after someone told me about it a few minutes later.
I cried at the end of the original Mafia.
In Wario Master of Disguise when I died to a boss that looks like this

Three times.
Right now, I'm split between[sp]Nanako's (apparent) death[/sp]in Persona 4 or[sp]The good ending[/sp] in Bioshock 2
When Duke Nukem Forever's release date was announced.

Do you learn about the Minutemen who served in the Revolutionary War? Or individual soldiers who truly believed in Cromwell and fought during the English Civil War?
I'll admit that saying it was, "symbolic" was probably incorrect, but Rockstar was making the point that in the scheme of things, no one ever remembers the individuals who made up a revolution, only the leaders. By making you get to know her, it made you think she was some valuable member of the revolution, when in reality no one really would care about her. Do you feel sad for every other rebel that died in that game? Or every Mexican army soldier you killed? Just because she seemed important to Marston doesn't mean she was actually important.
Good ending of bioshock 2 (:smith:)or [sp]Bills[/sp] death in l4d

When that happened to me I thought it was supposed to be Niko imagining it or something.
Was that even supposed to happen?
When i played Conker: Live & Reloaded, Berri dies at the end, i thought it was my fault and i hated myself because of it, i think i was like 11 or something when this happened.
[sp]Bills[/sp] death in l4d
It was DLC anyway and it was a choice in the other DLC.
When [sp]you had to kill the boss in[/sp] mgs3, man that final scene was sooo strong
The ending of the first Mafia game.
Yes.
The sequel was so utterly underwhelming in comparison.
Another one that had an effect on me, Metro 2033's "enlightened" ending. The view of destroyed Moscow, the combination of sadness and hope for a better future, and the beautiful theme... it gave me shivers.
*sigh* when I was younger I used to play that American Army (AA) game for the original Xbox, on the snow bridge level in the campaign you had a choice to either save this squad member or leave him; I remember trying to save him for like 2 hours until finally doing it... tears were shed.
ME2, all of it. I was hooked on it from start to finish.
Amnesia's ending ([sp]mostly the Agrippa one[/sp]) made me shed a tear.
Actually, I was crying during the game too because of fear.

Also, penumbra is full of these emotional moments. My heart almost stopped when [sp]you have to burn red alive[/sp] or in black plague [sp]when you find your father dead[/sp] or, still in the same game, [sp]when you kill Amabel Swamson because Clarence is making you hallucinating and lure you into thinking she's a zombie as well[/sp]
Penumbra was so damn depressing, what with the [sp]dying alone in the secret base of a ancient conspiracy, with no-one knowing what happened to you and your father dead rendering your whole quest pointless.[/sp]
When I finished Octodad, and his house was burned by that sushi chef.
I shed a manly tear.

You are still [sp]sending the coordinates to someone so the whole place can be burned down[/sp]
Ending of EP2
Walking to the helicopter, I though "Hey that eli guy is pretty cool, why haven't we seen more of him?"
Then he got tentacle'd :gonk:
In the original Neverwinter Nights when *MAJOR story spoiler* [sp]I had to kill Aribeth[/sp]
Pretty much all of Majora's Mask. That's an emotional game.

its a good game but its pretty dark even for kids
Auron's Sending

Loved what Game Informer had to say about him.
"Auron Proves that the best character and the main character don't always need to be the same person."
