Probably no one here has played the game, but in Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force, [sp]When Biessman holds off the entire Reaver assault in the Forge when your team is pinned down, but dies in his effort to save his fellow crewmen, it was just horrible to watch as he was one of my favorite characters. To think that beneath all his loudness and abrasiveness, he was as noble as the finest starship captain, it was heart wrenching.[/sp]
I nostalgia'd all over the place I need to play that again.
In bad company 2, when [sp]the hippie pilot died.[/sp] :saddowns:
Only sad thing I've seen happen Was when Winston was shot :saddowns:
In Episode 2 when you're searching the industrial park for supplies and you come across that grenade contraption with the launch pad and of course there's the joke at the top with the splatter guy. This was a man who had survived countless years of unimaginable genocide, infanticide, slavery and pretty much the rape of an entire planet through alien wildlife and alien imperialism alike. This was guy who put his neck on the line daily (without armour!) simply so that the resistance could hide their missiles. He would have needed a wheelbarrow to carry his balls around and to die alone in what must have been the most 'hurpy durrrrr' fail ever achieved with explosives... Not a dignified or generally good way to go.
I recently found this quote from another forum, and I feel it definitely describes the overarching emotions and feel of the Half-Life narrative. I remember that moment myself, but thought about it in a completely different way. It shows how different people can interpret moments in good games differently. Therefore, I ask you to share some moments in any video game which impacted you emotionally.
I seem to recall that the first time I played that chapter, I had Highway to Hell running through my head while I rolled through that house killing everyone and shooting the corpses.
In Starcraft 2, the last Protoss mission in which you defend until every single one of your units dies.
Metro 2033. The amazing atmosphere. Just being on top of the tower, overlooking the ruins of the world. It made me think, no game has made me do that. Just thinking of Khans quotes. Beautiful game. Bioshock 2. The good ending is so sad but really heartwarming. Just thinking that when [sp] Delta died for his daughter and to show compassion to all of the little sisters. Especially when she took the doll of Delta and tossed into the water as to symbolize that will be Deltas final resting place. He was taken from his world and forced to be a big daddy but instead of taking his rage out on everyone, he still tried to help without wanting any payment. [/sp] I had tears. As soon as I posted this, I went to read the other pages and realized that there were like 6 other Bioshock 2 posts. Goddamnit.
Definitely Homeworld. There were several instances, but this one is the best.
What the hell happened to him :/
I like to think he went nuts, and slaughtered everything and ran into the bush to brew beer from trees. I doubt it though.
Although it wasn't a moment; but the soviet strength song for that Soviet Assault Trailer always gets me near shedding tears of happiness for some reason. [sp]And When Bannon and his platoon stay back in Cascade Falls to keep the Soviet Military in the town while the Tactical Nuke approaches in World in Conflict. Why is it always that when there is one character that is a coward or traitor; he or she redeems himself or herself by dying?[/sp]
in red dead redemption, [sp]when luisa gets shot[/sp] she was a really good character and nobody really acknowledges her death :c
who the fuck was luisa again?
Unlocking the Kid in Super Meat Boy Some time during those 4 hours... I became a man. Also, the ending of Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse, [sp]before max comes back in the time elevator. I was almost crying at Sam's grief.[/sp] [editline]22nd January 2011[/editline]
who the fuck was luisa again?
That Mexican girl
K.o.l.m.
I repeat: K.O.L.M.

I got the worst possible ending in Heavy Rain, made me feel bad for all the characters :(
The non-Broken Steel ending in FO3, I felt really sad when a portait of James and us is shown while a child music is playing :smith:

Ending of Mafia II - [sp]"Joe wasn't part of the deal kid"[/sp]
Ending of Mafia II - [sp]"Joe wasn't part of the deal kid"[/sp]
This part made me laugh a bit. The only part from Mafia II that got me upset was all of it, where the fuck was the Free Roam? (You're constantly on a Mission and there are no side missions)
Oh, and finding Mark Meltzer in BioShock 2...
Beyond Good & Evil, when Pey'j dies.
Heavy Rain.
Definitely Homeworld. There were several instances, but this one is the best.
I remember that part, you can really hear the wavering sadness in his voice, like he's about to burst into tears. I applaud that mans voice acting skill.
