Whenever I replay Super Mario 64 and THIS music plays on the file select screen. It's very powerful and nostalgic to me.
MGS2! After Emma dies and Hal sings a little sad poem while the big shell sinks. That was pretty sad :(
MGS3! The ending, the truth behind the boss, i went all tingly and sad :(
MGS4! The final cutscene was dissapointing, but the last battle with ocelot was awesome, and when they both give each other a shot of nanos, it was truely amazing.
Theres tons more little nuggets of love in all of them (MGS1 didnt affect me as much though) but my god, i need to get a ps2 so i can enjoy the good old day again.
Ohh, i found the ending to Final Fantasy 10 fairly sad too. Then they butchered it with 10-2....
The ending to FFX was amazing. The ending to MGS1 was sad for me because I got the "bad" ending.
I felt really bad in Ocarina of Time when you go back to the Lon Lon Ranch an you find Maron's ghost and tombstone.

[editline]18th February 2011[/editline]
After pulling the Master Sword.
That never happens. Malon still lives at the farm, and Talon was just kicked out. Nobody died.
The D-Day mission in COD2. The music, the atmosphere... perfect.
One of the possible endings of Bioshock 2, the one where you[sp]let yourself die rather than let your daughter become like you.[/sp]
Davian Thule returning as a dreadnought in dawn of war 2 made me jizz. Especially when i watch the trailer and i realise that he was the dreadnought in it all along.
"You're the inspiration" from Elite Beat Agents. I promised myself that I would beat it on the first try, and I did.
The ending of ME1 was pretty emotional to me. When [sp]Shepard "died"[/sp], I felt sad. But when [sp]He turns out alive and well[/sp] I got this feeling of badassery and joy. The music that played in the process made the scene even more epic.
Metro 2033 endings and Dead space 2, when [sp]Isac left Ellie in the spaceship :C[/sp]
Nice spoiler tags there.
Fucking asshole, ruined it for me
Lost all my shit in minecraft, couldnt get it back, so i burnt down my house to move on to greener pastures standing there among the embers of my empire i kind of sobbed a bit.
Most of metro 2033 Impacted me.
Mass Effect 2, [sp]Garrus dies in my suicide mission[/sp]
Dead Space 1/2
[sp]Going through the Ishimura the second time in Dead Space 2. I can remember exact events while walking through, and I aim and shoot, even though nothing is there, I know something was. Nicole's talking doesn't help either.[/sp]
Heart wrenching for me, really.
Bioshock, it was always a morality struggle for me to decide what to do with the little sisters.
Farcry 2 [sp]When your friend betrays you.[/sp]
Borderlands Ending, so much fucking rage at how bad it was.
Halo Reach, it has this wonderful atmosphere and the cutscenes play with theatrical grandeur, especially the cutscene before Lone Wolf.
Farcry 2 again, when your friend is down and you have the option of saving him or putting him out of his misery.
Grand Theft Auto IV. This game is a work of art. I've never been so attached to the main and supporting characters.
I got so connected to Niko and his friends, especially Little Jacob and Packie. And whatever ending you choose, you get your revenge.
But you still have a feeling of emptiness, as Niko has nothing left.
[sp]I felt really bad for Packie when Kate dies, but also for Niko, she was sort of a symbol of peace for him.[/sp]
Okay, if you were a Dreamcast fan back in the day maybe you remember this.
Sonic Adventure (aka second to last good sonic game)
[sp]Gamma's entire story. Every boss felt like murder.[/sp]
I mean Jesus Christ man. :saddowns:
When [sp]you had to kill the boss in[/sp] mgs3, man that final scene was sooo strong
"Jesus that was a good boss fight. Ha, Boss fight. Welp, cutscene now..."
"OK, Snake, kill her already."
"I know this is hard for you Snake, but you have to do it. Hurry up."
"OK WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU KILL HER YOU STUPID FUCKER"
"Oh... I have to do it."
"OK, press square."
"Press square. Easy. Come on Tom."
"Press. Square."
"Oh God I can't do it I don't want to God noooo..."

"im so sorry snake"

This scene made me cry, and not back when it came out and I played it, but just when I replayed the game a few days ago.
In Pokemon Black and White, the whole N's story. [sp]The poor kid was raised to believe that people catch Pokemon to enslave them and thought he was freeing them by taking them away from their owners. He was raised among Pokemons and manipulated by Geechisu all the time, when you enter his room at the castle you realize he is still a child and doesn't understand many things. He is just a misunderstood boy.[/sp]
heavy rain when ethan had a seizure in the mall where he ran in circles yelling JASON inside a shop for two minutes
[editline]24th February 2011[/editline]
no wait that was just me making him do it
After playing all 3 seasons of Sam and Max from TellTale (aswell as old, but still kickin' Hit the Road) watching last scene,[sp]where they fail to clone Max from his monster-snort, making us believe he simply died.[/sp]
I literally watched whole scene silently weeping inside.
No book has ever made me go so far yet, barely any movie reached my emotional side, but this ? For a minute I was shell of a man.

Even though I know how it ends this music still reminds me of my state before I learnt true ending.
Mr. Isaac Clarke`s existance.
Every single thing that happens to that guy.
Every thing is heart wrenching.
When [sp]Merc dies[/sp] in Mirror's Edge.
in bishock 2 [sp] when you sacrifice yourself in the end to keep Elanor from becoming like you. combined with the excellent music and voice acting, that was one of the saddest scenes ever for me. [/sp]
I had an emotional moment when I got the 69th (of 69) stars on the Mirror's Edge Time Trials.
I felt like I actually accomplished something.
Ending of Halo 3.
The only real game I love to play on the Xbox. (SP and MP, but MP is just LOLOLOL DLC ONLY shit).
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Poor The Boss :saddowns:

Another music track that impacts me is the Jolly Rodger Bay music:

It wasn't even my favorite level, but it's more nostalgic than the other songs for some reason.
Penumbra: Overture.
[sp]Meeting your only friend in that underground hellhole, Red. When you find him, he begs you to kill him. You turn on the furnace, and he begin to burn. He screams, "NOOO! STOP! MAKE IT STOOP! NO!" while hysterically banging on the walls of the furnace.[/sp]
My heart wrenched during that.
Not being allowed to stay at Vault 101 after the Trouble on the Homefront quest in Fallout 3. I had been a proper dick to everyone until that moment and I thought that karma finally bit me in the arse. I started the whole game over and decided to be a Robin Hood-esque hero of the downtrodden.
Then I found out that the outcome of the quest has nothing to do with your current karma status. I was slightly disappointed, but also glad to see how games have grown as a medium to the point that it actually causes the player to look back on their actions with sincere remorse.
