Unfortunately the devs here did a terrible job threading for dual cores. The game still runs great until you do a few things which include switching weapons in the middle of a fight (causes severe lockups for ~30 seconds or less) and something in the side-mission scripts which will cause whatever you're doing near the objective to make the game lockup. What's worse is the fact that, in prior experience, THQ is one of the worst companies when it comes to patching games. If you ever played Red Faction 1 online you'll know what I'm talking about, atleast half of the games had players noclipping through walls at insane speeds with rail drivers that shot roughly 3000 rounds a second. They never patched this, ever. Nevertheless, the game is still terrific. I just hope THQ has gotten over itself and decided to start actually supporting their games for longer than 3 seconds after release.
Window it. I'm just dealing with windowed mode until THQ decides to release a patch. They are pretty good on patching the Dawn of War franchise, and if they are having free DLC then I see no reason not to also develop and short patch for technical issues. Also I haven't had any problems with the physics engine, looks pretty realistic in my eyes, taking into consideration Mars' bit lower gravity and the space age technology that the buildings are made out of.
I don't get it. It used to run like shit, but now it won't run at all. What the hell?
Just played with Chichen :)
Just played with Chichen :)
And me!
I made a group so we can easily set up games with each other: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/facepunchredfaction First person to join gets promoted to officer!
Guys, I'm going to try and make an item which will shoot a rocket that creates a huge ass explosion. Or a detonator, not sure yet.
Someone make a deconstructor.
Is there a reconstructor for SP yet?
Is there a reconstructor for SP yet?
yep heres a vid i made of it
Damnit I have a problem in the bink video in the game, it drops my FPS to less than 1, apparently this can be fixed by replacing the binkw32.dll, if anyone has Wolfenstein could they please upload the binkw32.dll file, I've not been able to find it anywhere and it should fix my (and I'm sure others) issue.
Is this game worth getting? I have a voucher and I think I might use it on this.
So what is this teknogods thing, there is no info on the website, just saw people syaing that they love the guy who posted the link so I'm curious of what it's good for. Something with hamachi is all I know.
That's because you have one hit kill on, try turning it off
It's not on, it still happens to me. I got past them though, had to wait until they went into the line of fire and killed eachother, then fly over the mountains.
I love this game. I just finished the campaign. Soooo epic :D Also excuse me while I act childish:
I'm glad I wasn't the only one having problems with massive pauses when I changed weapons in fights or certain things got damaged. Windowed mode is barely noticeable if you hide the side bars off the edges of the screen and stopped all problems for me and gave me a massive FPS boost.
I fixed the issue with being only able to play Bagman/Team bagman on the DLC maps, but now I can't play Big Boomers? I'm confused. [editline]09:10AM[/editline] I have RF:G on the Xbox as well, if that matters. And I don't have any DLC on that.
This game seems kinda poo. Destruction is fun but the missions are kinda meh. They're not painful like AssCreed's though.
My favourite guerrilla actions were by far the raids. My least favourite ones were the defending ones...
I'm an up-until-recently RF: Guerilla virgin. This game is one of the best i've played in recent times. I like the House Arrest missions for a couple reasons. Firstly, CQB. I get to storm a building occupied by EDF and clear it, and the cover mechanic works well in aiding me to this end. Secondly, I'll give you an example. In Eos, I had a running gunfight with pursuing EDF riot units trying to get back to a RF safehouse. It was awesome. Sure it's not perfect, nor is it all it could be, but imagine the sequels. If they go the same direction as Assassins Creed 2 and opt to improve the existing gameplay and add in new substantive features and player choice then it will be awesome, a massive improvement on an already good game.

I consider Guerilla a unique creation. Nothing like the previous games in the franchise which were essentially run-of-the-mill shooters with one sparse gimmick. Also, I'm excited to see what the extent of modding potential Guerilla holds. Can we do more with it?

We need a nice game of Siege gameplay in MP with many players. That would be awesome, just played it with a friend.
I haven't really been following this game since I got the 360 version (in wait of the PC one). So how's the moddability in the PC version? I might get it for PC too if it's one of those games that get a shitload of mods.
Should we get together and organize one?
Should I buy this on Steam? Is it worth it?
