There's always someone making cracks to bypass GFWL. [editline]08:57PM[/editline]
Sorry if a similar spec answer has been answered, I can't be assed to search. Considering buying the game for £22 from Asda, but how will it run on a Q9450 with a 9800GX2 and 4GB of DDR2 800MHz?
I don't know about the GX2 in the card, but when I have: Duo Core 3.0GHz, 9800GTx+ and 2GB of ram on Very High without one shit of lag (in windowed because of random lockups in any setting) I think you can run it fine.
I do! Well.. four physical and four logical but that counts because as far as I know, no true "Octo core" has been made. Not for personal use atleast.
Physical = The amount of cores your processor has Logical = The amount of cores your PC THINKS your processor has. You don't add them. The core I7s are the only ones which are even close to Octo Core, with 4 Physical and 8 logical.
So I bought Red Faction Guerilla for PC, excited to play. It installed fine, I played for a few hours, and exited thinking it had auto saved my game. Next time I open it up, oh I can't save or load because stupid fucking Microsoft wants me to log into their retarded GFWL app. I'm pissed about it, but I go and get the latest GFWL and try installing it. Oh, I need .NET Framework 3.5? Ok, sure. It gives me an error message every time I try to install it. So, I can't get GFWL working because I need .NET 3.5 (SP1) which I can't install. Thanks Microsoft, you're the best. Also Volition for implementing such an asinine protection. I tried uninstalling and re-installing all previous versions on .NET but no luck. I can't even get past .NET 3.0 it seems. The installer crashes before finishing and removes all files. So, to be blunt, is there anything that can make it seem like I'm logged into GFWL? I've searched for the last hour on the web for a fix to the .NET installation. Apparently a lot of people are having issues but no-one has found a simple fix. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to have wasted 70$ on a "trial version"
So what's the problem with installing .NET framework 3.5? Unless you have a pirated version of windows...
There's always someone making cracks to bypass GFWL.
Would you kindly direct me to one? Because I honestly haven't heard or seen any.
So what's the problem with installing .NET framework 3.5? Unless you have a pirated version of windows...
The installer just crashes. The progress bar starts filling up and then it says "An error has occurred, removing all files" and then when it's done an error message comes up saying "Blah blah installer has encountered a problem and needs to close" This is in the error log
EventType : visualstudio8setup P1 : 35101 P2 : 3.5.30729.01_orcas_x86_net P3 : mc P4 : inst P5 : f P6 : execxmlconfig P7 : 25541 P8 : 1603 P9 : - P10 : gencomp301_{12cd
There was something I used for GTA IV back when GFWL kept bugging out for me, it was something like GFWLiveless, but I can't remember the proper name.

If modding takes off we should have an RFG subforum, cept it's getting awfully crowded up there.
Is there anyway to trade save files between accounts? I started the game on my offline account and then made a new one for multiplayer. Worst. System. Ever.
Collateral damage mission makes me rage, fucking vehicle camera. 2000 dpi, sensitivity to max and I'm dragging my mouse over my entire desk
I'll be releasing a posse mod soon.
Collateral damage mission makes me rage, fucking vehicle camera. 2000 dpi, sensitivity to max and I'm dragging my mouse over my entire desk
Mouse sucks for the game. They didn't make it work at all, obviously. Just play with a 360 controller. The control scheme is fantastic as it's exactly like the xbox's scheme.
Posse Mod Release: http://www.mediafire.com/?lkywzyykzay -Posse With Increased Troop Numbers- -Multiplies the amount of EDF troops in basic squads and the number of guerrilla reinforcements by 10(in theory) and you'll have a posse. (IE tables.vpp_pc.ORIGINAL) to get the mod to work, I neglected to mention that.
Bet ya someone is going to reply with this with something like "But I bought the PC version to escape from the controller!" lol.
I'd buy the PC version to get framerates over 40 while running at a resolution higher than 720p and generally looking better. The controller escape is a no-brainer and needs not be mentioned.
Nah, I like my mouse aim really, and for the rest it's a great port. Just the vehicle aim uuungg
Holy shit, I don't know what happened but RFG is suddenly running way faster. I started up the game, didn't change any settings or anything, just went into a match, and suddenly I notice the game is running a lot better. I checked the FPS with fraps and it went like 15 frames up. Anyone else get this? Now I'm not sucking at anarchy anymore :D

I want a modification that makes it so that you can receive missions even if your alert level is flashing red. Getting a green alert level is impossible because those fuckers are always psychic.
Vehicle camera sucks, that's what you get from a late port though.
I want a modification that makes it so that you can receive missions even if your alert level is flashing red. Getting a green alert level is impossible because those fuckers are always psychic.
Just drive to the safehouse and it'll turn green instantly.
Just drive to the safehouse and it'll turn green instantly.
Yeah, but sometimes, or most of the time rather, you initiate a mission at a marker put very far away from a safehouse. And even if you decide to make the trip then come back, it's difficult to stay green because doing as much as crossing lane lines will piss them off or atleast put them at a cautious flashing yellow status.
Windows 7? It randomly switches between DX9 and DX10 sometimes
any way to force 9? like -dx9?
According to the developers, this game supports both DirectX 9 and DirectX 10. If you are running Windows XP, the game will always start in DX9. However if you are running in Vista, theoretically it should be possible to switch between DX9 and DX10 (DX9 mode delivers superior performance over DX10 in most cases, with a slight loss in graphics quality). But the problem with this game is that you cannot seem switch between these modes in Vista. There are two command line parameters you can try. But neither of these worked for me. -nod3d9 – Disable DirectX 9 -nod3d10 – Disable DirectX 10 (and force DX9? )
Ta-da. [editline]11:52PM[/editline] He says they didn't work but you could still try.
Wow I just played siege, first when I was defending I thought "meh it's ok". Then I got to attack, holy shit it gave me such a rush. I can never find a constructor though.
Who does the voice for the Commander?
Ta-da. [editline]11:52PM[/editline] He says they didn't work but you could still try.
It works in the Steam version.
Anyone know if there's a way to enable Developer mode?
