Game could use a stealth element.
I want to sneak in, plant strategically placed charges, sneak out, and blow the place up.

If you didn't know, when something is standing at a perfect 90 degree angle on a planet with lower gravity than ours, and is also bolted to the ground, it won't fall over.

Is that why they choose another planet than Earth, so they had an excuse if something fucked up in the physics system? :v:
EDIT: Nah, the 2 other games are on Mars too, following a bit on where the story takes place.

Yeah, it'd be more Guerrilla-ish that way. Someone needs to mod the stealth backpack into singleplayer.

I don't see how it's hard to do that if you can use the radar and spot their patrol routes.
Although I hate how if you're on yellow alert that every EDF on the planet somehow knows your exact location, but I once did something hilarious with it. I got myself up to red alert by blowing up this power plant (In Oasis I think) and I hid behind a table in one of those really small office buildings. Within moments there were at least 20 of them at the only entrance. Just standing there.
FFFF every time I chose new game after a while on the loading screen the game just crashes :frown:
Why doesn't this game have text chat.
I tried putting a thread on their forums but they deleted it
I think it's online petition time.

Games like this always have admins like that on their forums
Petitions never work
No
There are Xbox players in Multiplayer.
Why do you think it uses Live?
[editline]04:02PM[/editline]
I think there isn't a text chat because the Xbox players couldn't text chat?
So it would just be the PC players text chatting to eachother.

The xbox players wouldn't fucking cooperate anyways.
They just go ruining some things that stand around in damage control.
There aren't any Xbox player, it was stated on the official forum. The multiplayer isn't cross platform.

After that picture I hit it with a hammer. A few bits fell off but it stayed up.

I really want to see someone take this engine and make a New York game or something. Blowing up fucking SKYSCRAPERS.
Also re-enact 9/11
PC users are getting the short end of the stick.

Seeing as they have the most advanced, published real-time physics system to date, I would say that a little problem here or there is acceptable. Also, they take into account the materials of the structure. That's why it sometimes takes a bit before structural pieces finally crack because of pressure.
For some reason all I can do is wrecking crew with a sledge hammer as a EDF elite on complex or else RF:G will crash.
What the fuck

The weird thing is the admin actually seems nice in all other cases. They said they would try to treat the PC version as well as the console version and I've seen them listen to people's demands before. I guess they're just being jackasses right now.
The physics and destruction system is really neat, but the rest of the game really lacks. It's like a bunch of stuff was just thrown in as excuses to play with the destruction physics, which eventually get old.

Yeah a city mod would be awesome. Reskin everyone, make more realistic weapons, make normal vehicles, and make the sledgehammer look more like a real life sledgehammer. The EDF could be reskinned to normal police with police cars and tanks.
nope, win live is not boxxy live. if so, why the hell are ther NO interplatform multiplayer titles out there whatsoever?

Oooh, it looked so similar to mars when I played it years ago, I guess it's a dried up future of the planet?

Heh, yeah.
One of the requests in the "Modding Wiki" is text chat in Multiplayer, can people actually mod that in?
Hey Guys, I know I'm on an Balls to Walls shitty CPU but any way to speed up loading times?
It's like 5 mins long
Defrag? Auslogics Defrag works good.
There's a new thread about text-chat in Multiplayer: http://community.redfaction.com/forums/topic/6682
Apparently mine got deleted due to "off-topic postings and general derogatory insults." I guess saying I was disappointed that they didn't include this feature was a derogatory insult.
Edit:
Never mind they were talking about someone else's thread.
how does this run on pc? The engine feels the same as saints row 2 to me, which makes me wonder. Seeing as Saints Row 2 on pc isn't ported very well.
I made another petition for the Map Maker/SDK in the modding forum if you want to sign it. I'm Zombii by the way.
I can't get mods working, followed your directions exactly and it still won't work. Oh well.
You might have to rename tables.vpp_pc in your build\pc\cache folder. (IE tables.vpp_pc.ORIGINAL) to get the mod to work, I neglected to mention that.
OutOfExile, i played my first online match against you lol, my name was sal4ya
