I'm starting to hate Volition. When your game's forum is flooded with complainants about every single part of multiplayer besides the core gameplay then that's a sign that you're not doing something right. They'd better release a patch soon but it seems so far they're not doing anything.

How the hell do you edit the game, Google finds nothing, did you guys just magically have the knowledge pop into your brains or something? Come on you had to have learnt how to do it from somewhere.
Can someone make a mod that removes the edf? I can't destroy/reconstruct a building in peace without them shooting me so much i can't see shit. Also after the campaign an annoying broadcast begins, "Admiral roth and Cornal ??? are dead, we will grant amnesty to all... gaah i hate that

Also after the campaign an annoying broadcast begins, "Admiral roth and Cornal ??? are dead, we will grant amnesty to all... gaah i hate that[/QUOTE] actually it is quite easy to remove the edf from the game... but a little boring but i can tell you how to do it... get the winred tool extract the misc.vpp_pc file to folder called ./misc now in side the new extracted folder go to the file called squads.xtbl right click and go to open with and select notepad or click open and use select program from list of programs then find notepad. it will have script that looks like this inside: <Squads> <Name>basic_squad_1</Name> <_Editor> <Category>EDF</Category> </_Editor> <team_name>EDF</team_name> <member_count>4</member_count> </Squads> **important** do this for all where <Category>EDF</Category> and this will get rid of all edf. change the member count line to <member_count>0</member_count> save then package bake the misc folder witrh the winred tool and copy and paste file to the pc/cache folder inside game folder. then rename table.vpp_pc to table.vpp_pc.original hope this helps. have fun!!

[QUOTE=OutOfExile;17436363]Don't talk about pirating :ssh:[/QUOTE] its not really pirating so long as you buy the game!! and support the games industry... or delete the game if you have no intensions of buying it!! i find its a good way to see if your system can run the game well, even though your system may meet minimum requirements, it may be laggy in parts which means you have bought a game which can't be played (very well), and cannot be returned once opened... i'm tottally against pirating as a way to avoid paying for a game!! and have over 100 games which i have bought for pc over past 10 or so years. but back to the main topic of this forum the game is excellent and one that i recommend any one buy... also about the city mod idea... i will look into it but at the moment i don't know how to import / edit the models found inside the game and how to position them around the map... but looking into this.

Okay so apparently this motherfucking game decided to bail on me with suddenly graying out the option to fucking save the game. I have been playing for like 4 hours without noticing it until now, jesus fucking christ.

There was something puzzling me about this game, in Badlands there are tons of strange buildings which have doors in the roof as well as the walls and are risen off the ground slightly, all made of metal. At first I thought they were modular buildings for inside mines but that didn't make much sense, then I thought they were space station debris from the first game, but that was just stupid. Now I think they could easily be the remains of the underwater bases from the first game. Old Parker mentions there not being any oceans on the planet anymore and not far from the safehouse there is one of the buildings partially embedded at an angle into the ground. I think the oceans could have lowered, ruining the bases and making them come to a rest on what was the seabed, most were salvaged for use as housing and storage by the new colonists while some (Like the embedded one and maybe those near Mohole) were left lying where they fell.
They should have added more to the pipes instead of just having them go into the walls and end. Maybe have an impassable grate in the way so it looks like it actually goes somewhere. Even the texture of a grate would have done.
