Steam's better! :crying:

:ughh:
You can still use STEAM with it.
Oh, well then that's different!
GFWL doesn't use shift+tab. It uses the home key.
In-Game community still works.
It does. Although I don't see why everyone complains about it. It's perfectly fine.
I think you have to have an XBox Live account to play, but if you don't, the only problem is the lag in 80% of all the games.

Wait what.
Yeah, what?

Man the sound bugging in the cinematics is annoying.
great game. 40 fps all maxed settings (E8500@3.2)
also found lol bug:

also my sound was fucked up too, fixed by installing newest drivers for my sound card (realtek hd)
Plays fine for me.
If someone's bugging you on your live acc, just make a new one. Not rocket science.
Also, steam says that RF 1 and 2 have problems with DX10 cards. Mine didn't. :frogc00l:
The games have problems with the NVIDIA 8 series and higher cards(Maybe just the 8 series).
Naw, it's just the 8 series. My GTX260 runs it perfectly.
lots of pirates in here then i see.
Well, apparently Darma's store put it on shelves early. But he hasn't replied since a while ago.
:colbert:
Also, why does the game unlock in 1 day and 7 hours? Shouldn't it be around 17 hours? (EST)

Me playing some wrecking crew. Just a little random fun.
Did they announce the map editor plugin being released for 3ds max yet? Or are they still just gonna make an awesome game like this sucky due to no new maps.
This internet is extremely slow, and i'm too lazy to find out - but is it true that you can't destroy the terrain in RFG? It worked in 2 atleast...
The game seems to run in fast motion for me. The only way I can get it to run in what I think is 'normal' speed is to reduce the FPS as much as possible by enabling extraneous graphics features. Even when enabling all graphical enhancements I can possibly enable, the game runs at or above 60FPS and seems to be always on fast-forward. The game was obviously meant to run at 30FPS, which is what I hear the consoles do. I used a trainer to slow the speed of the game, but that caused it to run too slowly. It's either too fast or too slow, no in-between.
The optimization here is good. There's never a single stutter, pause, or drop in FPS that I don't cause myself by forcing ludicrous amounts of AA. I only have an E5200 and a 4850, and the game quite literally runs too fast. Physics interactions on a major scale are handled without a hitch.
The driving is absolutely atrocious, reminiscent of Saint's Row 2.
The breaking shit and the shooting is fun, but there's not much else on offer here. I'm sure nobody expects that there would be. The game tries too hard to pretend that there is a story.
The game does freeze a lot, though. It hangs when I start or finish a mission, or when I destroy a key building that makes a difference to the EDF control of the area. It seems to be related to the game's autosaves, because those are all occasions where the game autosaves. There is no way to disable this autosaving. It's a good thing, too, because sometimes when it hangs, it doesn't ever start working again, or the game crashes outright, so frequent autosaves are a must if you don't want major headaches.
It's worth the purchase, I guess. You get to break a lot of things, and it certainly looks pretty when you do. The scale of the things you can break is preserved wonderfully, if that makes any sense. Basically, when you break something huge, expect huge repercussions.

GeoMod 2 doesn't allow terrain deformation, no. But imagine if you could deform the entirety of Mars, the game would have even less challenge than it does now. Though GeoMod 2 does make for some very nice collapses.

In Eos the destruction gets fun again.
Damn I love this game, here is the aftermath of a battle were me and the guerrilla were defeding a building. A tank came in and raped us like hell, not many survivors.

So, uh, yeah, this EDF squad just came into this guerilla camp and completely destroyed it:

Alright, alright, it was just me and the sledgehammer.
E8400 @ 3.0ghz, 4GB DDR2 RAM, 4870 512mb
Does this game play nice with ATI?

Read my post. My computer is much worse than yours and the game runs too fast.
It's actually kind of useful, though. I don't even have to take a car anywhere because he runs so fast that I can get around very well without a vehicle. It also works out well because of the fact that I wouldn't want to get into any of the vehicles anyway because the driving is such absolute shit. You can do a lot of devastation with a big truck, though.
Mine runs too fast too, I used a trainer and it works at normal speed :D
