A RTS subforum?
A League of Legends subforum would be nice.
Literally the only games with popularity to support a sub-forum are League of Legends and Diablo III . . . why DayZ?
can we also have another subforum for minecraft servers so the games in progress subforum isn't a useless piece of shit for anyone who doesn't play minecraft?
Oh god this. At times it's 50% Minecraft servers. On a good day it's between 10% and 25%
Literally the only games with popularity to support a sub-forum are League of Legends and Diablo III . . . why DayZ?
uh Diablo 3 here really doesn't have the popularity to have it's own subforum.
League of Legends.
I'm kind of surprised this DayZ business is so popular. I didn't think very many people owned Arma 2 in the first place.
Three forums under games like now, Valve stays the same, GGD is changed slightly, minecraft is replaced by GGpD GGD - General Games Discussion. The current GGD, megathreads for games, move minecraft section under GGD. GGpD - General Games playing Discussion - Servers, Let's plays, playstyles (griefing, facepunch plays), more stuff involving the playing of the game, rather than the game itself
General games retains, with MMO subthread, MOBA subthread, and Indie subthread. General games retains the mass bulk of commercial games, MMO have the large mmo community(working pretty well imo0, MOBA for reasons rilez posted, and Indie to give smaller games attention that the GGD threads would overshadow. If some Indie threads get super populated and active for a long period of time, they should be moved to GGD.
The Minecraft server threads should be posted in the Minecraft forum. It'd keep Games in Progress clean and the Minecraft forum a little busier. On behalf of a new sub, i think an Indie/Free forum would be great. I don't think the minecraft forum is needed in it's current state anymore. Only the general chat and 2b2t threads get any posts anymore. Perhaps if all the minecraft servers were shifted into that as a subforum instead you could hit two birds with one stone.
I'm up for a League of Legends subforum.
DayZ and LoL.
MOBA Subforum
MOBA Subforum
I do believe some people in the Dota 2 fanbase could get pretty territorial about that.
I do believe some people in the Dota 2 fanbase could get pretty territorial about that.
Could be the same argument that mmos had before they merged into their subforum.

Remember when nearly all well known games had their own Subforum? Ah, the good old days..
Remember when nearly all well known games had their own Subforum? Ah, the good old days..
That was just to cope with the post release spurge of posts, which was shortly scrapped a little bit before hezzy quit.
Put all the minecraft games in progress threads into the minecraft subforum.
Make a subforum with porn, so all the porn goes away from the fast thread becuse that shit is annoying.
I just want the lifestyles section back.
I think you should add console subforums.
we should make a subforum dedicated to my posts
I think you should add console subforums.
fanboy wars and multiplatform redundancy
-sniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip-
We don't really need a LoL subforum. It's a busy thread but not enough to warrant a subforum. Heck DotA2 barely needs a subforum. Half of the topics there haven't seen a reply in more than a day. I don't really think DayZ needs a subforum either.
The problem with sub-forums for separate games is that they're infrequently used. The only game big enough in GGD that might make use of one is League of Legends; the thread is huge, and there's the potential of posting threads for builds, tournaments etc. More people play League than DOTA2, even on here. If you were to add a League of Legends sub-forum, you could probably merge it with DOTA2 in GGD to form a "MOBA" subforum. That would get more use than having them both separate. Then people could talk about LoL, DOTA2, HoN and even Bloodline Champions. A "Game Support" forum would be great. We used to get a LOT of support threads, to the point where I had to ban them because of all the clutter in GGD. Another section I can see being useful is a general "Steam" section, either for Steam Support and/or Steam Sales/Trading. We used to get a lot of those too.
I don't think merging LoL and DotA2 into one section would be good. It would become pretty tense, it's like putting two people who are arch enemies in the same room and expecting them to place nice :v: the LoL thread at the moment is usually a small mix of everything, nothing really gets discussed for a long period of time. The thread usually doesn't get cluttered with multiple topics being discussed at the one time either, which is the main reason behind why I think we don't need a subforum. I think either a Steam or Game support forum would be nice.
ggd doesn't need more subforums, chat threads should come back though
