Anyone try the SOASE key on a retail version? Or does it require Impulse. Windows Server doesn't like impulse.
Anyone try the SOASE key on a retail version? Or does it require Impulse. Windows Server doesn't like impulse.
I don't see any reason for it not to work with the retail version.
I don't see any reason for it not to work with the retail version.
I was just wondering if Impulse had a different format than the retail or something. Thanks :D
Anyone try the SOASE key on a retail version? Or does it require Impulse. Windows Server doesn't like impulse.
Why are you running server on a computer you game on?
Why are you running server on a computer you game on?
My other computer's motherboard crashed, so I transferred my video card from that computer to a spare computer I had, which has Windows Server 2008 on it. I got it for free at some Windows tech show, I still don't know if it has an expiration date.
Bloody thieves. :argh: I actually buy that magazine.
The retail version of SOASE does not ask for a CD key. You require a valid CD key if you want to download patches and mods from the official site, as well as browse their forums if memory serves me correctly. This is a very nice system, and rather effective, the reason being that an integral part of SOASE is the community.
Bloody thieves. :argh: I actually buy that magazine.
We are not polish
Bloody thieves. :argh: I actually buy that magazine.
don't call me a thief! They are giving them away to me. and I truthfully would buy this magazine, if it were availble where I live. (but it isn't, because I don't live in poland) [I'd just buy it as a thank you for the keys though, I wouldn't be able read it since I don't speak polish] I'd also like to buy PC-Gamer US or UK but they also are unavailable to me. (and I can't order them online either)
Thanks OP.
Anyone know what products you can register on impulse?
http://www.impulsedriven.com/store.aspx
just because you can buy the games at the impulse store, doesn't mean you can register their retail cd-keys with impulse though, does it? (I know for sure that that's how it is with steam)
...I got that impulse thing...Turns out i already HAD Sins of a solar empire...go figure.
It detects pirated copies of the game in your game list, but good luck downloading updates or playing online. None of the keys I've tried work on steam. :( [editline]02:30PM[/editline] The only one that worked was Speedball 2.
None of the keys I've tried work on steam. :( [editline]02:30PM[/editline] The only one that worked was Speedball 2.
why does nobody bother to read the thread before trying ANYTHING??
Never Heard of Impulse but I'm installing it right now.
Never Heard of Impulse but I'm installing it right now.
before you start whining that none of the keys but one work on impulse, only the Sins of a Solar Empire keys work with Impulse.
yes you can
apparently not:
No, it has MX vs. ATV on the Impulse store, but the key from the site doesn't register.
Where can I enter the Sins of a Solar empire key?
Download Impulse from www.impulsedriven.com, make an account and on the My Games tab there is a button to register your game.
