goin places.
I only wondered into this thread out of curiosity and jesus fucking christ what am I even watching. I used to play a bit of this game in the past but I never knew there would be super hard levels like that, that's just insane. In honesty it's been a while since I last played Osu, I should probably give it a try once again though when I get a fully working mouse to play with. [editline]12th December 2011[/editline] Actually semi related on note I used to play a Korean rhythm game called O2Jam (or rather O2Mania) a lot and I've seen and felt that it can get pretty bad as well on the lower levelled hard stages. On the plus side you do actually get some nice easy and fun stuff to play with as well.

Not if you can't press every key at the same time. Hell, when a spacebar note appears I shit myself. I can only play up to level 13 on O2Mania at the most anyway though. There's only so many songs you can have in O2Mania though. If O2Jam was still up, it might be a different story...
While playing online sounds pretty fun, I'm not sure if it'd be for me. I used to be ok with my mediocre skill in singleplayer, but if I start playing with other people then my own shortcomings will become glaringly obvious and I'll get annoyed at myself. The fact I haven't played in about a year or so won't help either. Here's my stats at the moment: Ranked Score: 17,470,490 (#166679) Hit Accuracy: 87.27% Play Count: 243 Total Score: 38,939,332 Current Level: 18 Total Hits: 29,124 Maximum Combo: 309 SS: 0 S: 3 A: 17 [editline]12th December 2011[/editline] Also, can anyone recommend any particularly good beatmaps?
Just a personal preference, but I love anything made by Larto and Takuya (even though he only has three maps).

That's what I used play anyway, they always felt nice.
Galvanize, Natteke and Shiirn are the best mappers Also gowww, Blue Dragon and some others
ztrot
lesjuh
ztrot's maps feel so similar and it's always nightcore or some other similar shit [editline]12th December 2011[/editline]
lesjuh
lesjuh used to be good

It's because of your osu MP rooms, man.

I just realised how much of an advantage it is to have one of these. Probably a trillion years late, but still. Damn.
my bro has a tablet but prefers to play this game using a mouse because he finds it more of a challenge also seeing this thread only made me sadder that there isnt a stepmania thread
In what way do people play with a tablet? Keyboard + pen? I tried that, but it's nearly impossible for me, because I'm left handed, and my desk doesn't allow having anything to the left of my keyboard, yet I can use my mouse fine with my right hand.

The first is where you basically hover the pen and zx all the notes like me and jesse do, or you can do what orkle does and tap the notes with the pen and zx the streams. The final technique is harder in my opinion but it involves tapping and then tapping and pressing z or x during streams
I can try but my maps are hardly "pro". My best attempt at mapping is probably: http://osu.ppy.sh/s/40088 i thought everyone was joking when they said don't give jesse host D:
That map was easy in the beginning, but I failed around the middle part :/
lol so that's why you weren't responding to me at all yesterday what did you do with irc bots
in multi-player I /np the songs to my bot, the bot generates a link and copys it so I can just paste it into mp to speed up download time and remove the download cap. I got silenced for spamming gladiool in mp with it by making it ask him for the map 10 times :V
That map was easy in the beginning, but I failed around the middle part :/
I would finish that map but there's no point mapping normal and easy because it's not going to get ranked and it probably wont be seen by people who play normal songs.
Is there any reason that some of the targets on my beatmaps are invisible save for the numbers? Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but if I have to do a slide or something I have no idea. Some maps are virtually unplayable because of this. I have no difficulty modifiers on. [editline]14th December 2011[/editline] Scratch that, the only notes affected are slides [editline]14th December 2011[/editline] Nevermind, fixed it by restarting.
I've had that issue before but not in a long time
Built myself a tapper thing :v Perhaps not quite better than my 7G at normal play (connections aren't good enough, chance of strokes not registering like a rubber dome keyboard), but a huge step up in streaming both in speed and endurance
I debated using aluminium foil for my finger pads, but I decided against it because it'd be really flimsy. Plus there was the issue of your skin completing the circuit. I had to ensure the finger pads didn't have have any actual contact with my skin. Otherwise it'd register false strokes whenever my palm touched the pad.

I can't imagine playing without it now.
Well, at least my rank is in the top 150,000 again and my accuracy rating is above 80% :v:
Good job. I still have not found the time to get my rank back to 8500.
I don't think I have the bandwidth to get into the top 10,000, so I'm just concerned about my cursor precision. I keep making slip ups here and there just because my hand feels uncomfortable.
I'd so love to be back at 1500 but i never play :(
I really wish I'd never ranked up, I feel inclined to keep my place on the rankings now. I want to be FP's lowest ranker.
Ah I get it now! [editline]10th December 2011[/editline] Also are there any pro map makers in here that make a beatmap out of this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyCFuP3rM2w There is a different metal cover of Skyrim on osu! but that one is terrible.
I'm trying! [editline]1[/editline] Dear Santa: For Christmas I would like to Pass this song. It it my favourite Song and I like it alot. If some one Could please pass it I would like Them to be my fwiend. please Let me pass this song, I heard It was harder than rainbow dash Likes girls. I've had this song As my favourite before, but This time it's actually hard like I need for multiplayer! LOVE JESSE1412 ~ Beat Map Replay [editline]1[/editline] that map must have sent me a little bit loony last night. Anyway, here: Sons of skyrim I can't map past there, the bpm changes and I just can't figure it out. Sorry Mitch.
What the hell is with everyone in #osu thinking tablets instantly make you better at this game
