Brink looks pretty awesome in terms of first person realism.
Arma 2 with TrackIR is amaaaaazing.
It's alot more clunky than you imagine, it's really only useful for planes/helicopters. For example, me leaning out of a plane in rise of flight using freetrack. well, the most realistic FPS game ive ever played (from the perspective point) is Star wars Republic commando, it made me feel like i was inside the clone suit and not some weird camera hanging right outside, it also shaked a little while walking, yte, the weapon shaked different from the helmet, but i need to get myself a copy of ArmA 2 and that TrackIR. Look Awesome
id have to say crysis so far.

Remove the ir filter from webcam, cut part out of diskette, put diskette part over lens. Voila, freetrack.
That would be fucking horrible for business, No one would want to get shot.
Why do people play paintball? I used to have laser tag guns that shock you whenever you got shot and they were fun as hell. Put me in the game and I'll pay you a lot of money.
what video game do you thinks delivers the most realistic first person perspective? are there any games that take peripheral vision into account? are there any games that portray the slight amount of curvature you see at the edge of your vision? are there any games that even go as so far to show your eye lashes?
Don't know about you, but I can't see any curvature in my vision or my eyelashes. As for most realistic...I would say Bad Company and Bad Company 2. They have the screen shake when you walk / run, like you would see in real life.
[img_thumb]http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/2999/fov.png[/img_thumb]
What is that. It makes no sense.
is that WW1 Sim online? And free?
You could have spent a second googling it or reading the video description, and no it's not free, and yes it's a WW1 flight sim, not free.
It's called Rise of Flight and yes, it's a WW1 combat flight sim. And very good at it. But no, it's not free. [editline]02:24PM[/editline] Damnit.
I knew it was a WW1 Flight sim, Jeez, and I knew it was Rise of Flight, But I was never too sure on how it was played... I've seen free trials, downloads, heard that you have to pay for extra flyable aircraft... I figured it was a cash shop type of game... so I asked, since their website didn't say Jack.
Bashing a raptor with a stick is very Real..Having your hand turn in Horrible postitions is also correct.
Maybe you should read beyond that picture. Just a little tip.

killzone 2 [editline]12:59PM[/editline] may i remind you were not talking about the story? were talking about the gameplay itself
What is that. It makes no sense.
I lol'd.
I lol'd.
Why, it's much more accurate than the other one. Normal FoV is about 210 degrees but you only focus on the centre of your vision.
