Traded my friend a Yo-Yo that the bank gave me for GoldenEye 007 N64.
Best. Trade. EVER.

This was maybe 7 years ago. I still have and play GoldenEye!
Some internet order containing Call of Duty 2 and Starcraft.
The address had a spelling mistake and it was delivered to us. The original address was at the other side of the country so my dad said 'Nah, he ain't getting it' and we kept the games.
what a douchebag dad :|

that's a dick thing to do :(
I bought a game from walmart.
Never doing that again, most of the games there really suck.
What do you mean? Walmart has all the same games as any other store.
I ordered Quake 4 and it didn't come for like 3 weeks, so I told them to resend it, and it still didn't come for another 3 weeks, so then I told them to resend it again.
About 3 months later, I obtained 4 copies of Quake 4.
I walked into my local game store and brought it
Maybe I just lead a boring life
When my family got a new PC in 1997, the guy who put it together left a CD full of games including Duke Nukem 3D and Quake. Full versions, not shareware. (remember that?)
A few years later, I realized it wasn't exactly legal but whatever. I have legit copies now. Still have that games CD though. I wonder if it's still readable...
Not a game, but my computer chair I found in the middle of a football oval. (Australia)
I just threw away like 50 old PC magazine discs, someone will probably find them.
I found pokemon yellow with the sticker image removed on the ground outside elementary school.
My friend bought Red Alert 1 and 2 on a garage sale.
I found a coupon for half life 2 on the ground in some store, it was supposed to expire in 2004, but I entered it on Steam and it worked anyways.
i won a copy of finding nemo for the ps2 by getting a slime pie in my face at nickelodeon studios
In Gamestop some guy flipped the shit about fable2 CE needing online activation to get the bonus content, so he flipped the fuck out and gave the game back to them, not asking for a refund, i said to the clerk could I buy it, he said you cant buy it but if you buy the standard edition then you can have it, so i did, the next day i returned the standard :D
I've still got boiling point road to hell lying around somewhere. My mate left it in my room because it's such a terrible game.
Why aren't any of this happening to me?
I just buy my games over Steam, or in the local Blockbuster.
Well, there is a certain user around who talked another FP user into gifting him a game on Steam that wasn't available in his region. Of course he never paid up.

I know. I'm an idiot for trusting people.
[editline]06:20PM[/editline]
Well. I do like to believe in the good in man.
A friend of mine found a store that was selling an old game he really liked, Sonic R, for dirt cheep, so he brought a load and gave them out to his friends. No reason, he just wanted other people to play the game I guess.
At gunpoint.

More awkward than it sounds.
I found some shitty zoo sim game for the Nintendo DS sitting in a parking lot. I just took it and gave it to my brother (I don't have a DS).
I was at wholesale club (grocery store) and I found a bin with cheap video games. I found HL1 Anthology for 99c and GTA:SA for 99c. I put the HL1 Anthology on my steam account and gave GTA:SA to my friend because it was for PS2.
found a genisis game in a meadow that sill worked.

What game was so good you had to get it at gunpoint?

:smug:
Went into an EBGames I'm a regular at, to pick up my copy of BFBC2. When I went up to the counter, the guy there gave me a Special Edition game even though I ordered standard then handed me a copy of Sins of a Solar Empire, he didn't say anything, and simply moved on to the next customer. Both games work perfectly, so, score.

All of the copies of BC2 were Special Edition until like a month after release. That second part is weird though.
I dunno if it counts, but i once found a whole season of Prison Break on DVD in my local park.
Needless to say i creamed when i saw it :)

Oh right, well that explains a lot. But yeah, a lot of questions about the other game, he must've seen me looking at it, which I was, and they probably had a defunct or returned copy they couldn't sell for whatever. Not the first time cool things have happened at that store, every now and then I get a discount here and there, I got a $5 upgrade from normal to special edition for my copy of Assassin's Creed 2 and when Mass Effect 2 came out I was given a Hardback strategy guide for $10.

I'm still holding out to find a complete David Attenborough in my shower.
I believe there is no such thing as a Limited Edition BFBC2, it was just a marketing ploy to get more people to preorder it.
When I popped in my uncle's CD-key for Counter-Strike 1.6
I was delighted to find out that it also unlocked every other Half-Life 1 game.
